I took my test on Friday 08-07 and woke up this morning to get my "unofficial" results and saw PASS! I am so extremely relieved I can't even describe it!

I had 104 or 105 questions. Every question after 75 I was freaking out. I had 6 Select All That Apply, 2 med math calculations, and 1 drag and drop.

I must admit, this was unlike any nursing school test I have ever taken. It was hard, and some of the questions left me thinking ***?! Like they say they are testing BASIC BEGINNER nursing content and some stuff/meds I have never heard of. I had a wide variety of topics everything from psych to peds to medications to diseases, lots of priority and infection control questions.

Advice for future test takers:

  • Do Kaplan. If you can't afford the class, buy the book for 30 bucks from the bookstore. I know for a fact that without the Kaplan information I probably would have failed.
  • Do as many practice questions as you can but remember to focus on the "higher level" types of questions. Just practicing knowlege and comprehension questions will not benefit you.
  • Breathe and try and stay calm, and take your time. You have 6 hours. Chances are, you won't need all 6 hours. I did 104 questions in almost 2.5 hours, but I was seriously taking my time on all the questions.
