Pass NCLEX 8th time

Students NCLEX

Published

Graduated Nursing school 8 years ago, taken NCLEX for the 8th time last May 8, 2017, PASS! i finished all 265 questions in 5hours and 45min. Walked out the testing center feeling defeated, again, for the 8th time. We went straight home and i can't even eat, crying because i know i failed again. My mom said don't think about anything right now, just relax. The next day i went to work, talking to GoD while driving, i was telling him i can't take another depression if i fail again, my mind is tired so as my heart and my body, i really prayed hard that he will give it to me this time. never tried the pvt trick before, but because of too much anxiety, i tried it, got the "good pop-up" but still i wasn't convince, spend my 1hour break searching if the pvt works haha.. the next day, 4hours before quick results appear, i did the pvt again, "good pop-up" still not convince coz there's a few that says it doesn't work. Finally, 4:30pm, purchased the quick results, and tadddaaaa!! PASS! I cried and called my mom and my husband, i thank GOD, i almost gave up of my dream to becoming a Registered Nurse because of my failures in ny past exam. So to those of you that feels on giving up, don't give up, if this is your dream and you know this is your calling go for it! You may not get it on your first, second, third or how many tries, still don't give up, focus on your material, read and read, answer questions everyday even for just 2hours. If i did it, you can do it too! Good luck future RN's!!!

Hi, i'm very happy to help.. í ½í¸Š I used saunders, lippincot, la charity and ncsbn. I also used the material given by my reviewer before. I study atleast 2hours per night. Study on the time you are most awake. I'm usually awake after working so my study time is from 12am-2am or 12am-4am. Oh by the way, i also found a good material here in allnurses.com, somebody that passed a few years ago posted it, it's like a summary and pneumonics of the materials i used, that helped me a lot to because the things listed there was easy to remember. If you have an email i can send it to you.

Thank you! I studied exactly 30days before my exam. I only focus on the questions and rationales on ncsbn, some of the questions there appeared on my previous exams, they just change the sentences and options. for the content i prefer saunders. For prioritizations and delegations la charity is the best book to use. For practice questions use the lippincot, what i did is i study per content then answer the practice questions before jumping to the next one. Most important thing to do is always pray, i remember while taking my last exam i prayed for every question, maybe that's why i finished the exam in 5hours and 45min haha.. you can do it, if i did it i know you can too!

Thank you for the reply! did you read full sanders or you had to go back to saunders in topics you weren't sure or your weak on? There's illustrate NCLEX RN its similar to saunders but more images and less reading too.. have you used u world because i failed with u world 3 times :/ i haven't used NCBSN (i used kaplan, hurst, u world, PDA)

I did read full the saunders book, i have my notebook too, i wrote the diseases, the early signs and symptoms, treatments and diet, that was advised by my reviewer before which is good 'coz when you are writing you remember it too. I tried Uworld before, i may say it's good too but it didn't work well with me because i lack in content. I suggest use lippincot and la charity too, it really helps.
