over-confident???

  1. Is it possible to be too comfortable with the thought of taking boards?? Can feeling confident and not stressed about it actually HURT me? People keep asking me if I am nervous and I say no, I am ready for them and am positive I will pass. Do I need to change my way of thinking?
    Thanks

It's good to feel confident but just not overdo it because if you fail somehow ,it can be devastating to one's ego too.

There's nothing wrong with being confident as long as you've worked hard to prepare. The vast majority of first-time testers do pass.

    What Eric said

As long as you've done the hard work, the actual preparation for the test by doing a steaming high pile of practice questions, there's no reason to worry that you're confident of passing.

I do know of someone who was confident in passing and yet ultimately failed; problem was that she didn't challenge herself enough on questions (Saunders' review made her feel she was doing great) and figured she was ready. She was not. NOT knocking Saunders, just saying that even though she wasn't a good student in school, she was able to answer them sufficiently well to think she was ready to pass after a short amount of study time, not enough.

Make sure you've done a variety of questions from a variety of sources, and if you do well, then....go for it!!
