im sorry to here about the trick.. i was coming here since 2001 but just decided to stay here for awhile this year.. i arrived last feb.. got my att in may and registered for the exam the following week.. just scanned some books a cousin lend me.. but did not do any serious studying.. i guess i was preoccupied with some other perssonal events in my life.. been busy so i havent got the time to review for the exam.. so when the result came that i failed, i wasnt really surprised but of course i was sad, but i knew it was all my fault.. i was unprepared.. so i promised myself i'd do my best the next time.. i have not done any serious studying since then because we moved to NY.. but since my husband is going to be deployed in iraq by october.. im moving back to CA.. hopefully i can focus more on studying there.. i already have my driver's permit but i havent scheduled the driving test yet.. i need more practice.. hehehe.. i know it can be tiring to review again but don't lose hope.. we can pass this exam.. i hope you take it again.. that is the only way to pass it and be a nurse that you have been working so hard on.. let's keep each other updated and motivated.. we can do this.. i failed my first attempt last may.. so God willing.. we can make it the next time we sit the exam.. take care..

honestly i'm already tired studying.. its to much for me.. i really want to work so bad. i'm so bored specially if i'm by myself @ the house. i wish my friends from PHI are here. even though i'm studying hard, i don't know why i still fail. maybe its not yet my time. i'm still thinking if i will study again or give my time a break. what do you think..? do you know a place where to apply as a CNA? i can't work as a nurse here for right now until i have my license coz i graduated in the PHI.

i really do not have any idea abt working as CNA while waiting to take the nclex.. maybe you can make a new thread and ask people.. hopefully someone might have an idea about that.. i really want to work asap too.. i know it's very different here unlike in PI where all your relatives and friends are just around.. u can go ride a jeep or tricycle to go anyplace u want.. i barely get out of the house myself.. im just blessed i have my 2 year old to keep me company.. but that's one added reason why i cant really focus.. need to do all house chores and look after my kid as well.. and 2 year olds are so energetic.. she keeps me on my feet.. what was your study plan the last times you took the exam? maybe you should try to study differently if you decide to take it again.. for me, i think i'll try the suggestions here to not burn yourself studying.. im planning to study 2 hours in the morning maybe answering questions and another 2 or 3 if i can push it at night.. so i have the rest of the day to take care of my kid.. i just hope i can stick with that plan.. i really wish u well.. do not give up.. other people have taken it 5 or more times and they finally pass.. we can conquer this exam.. we just have to keep our faith..

thank you so much for your advice.. oh you have a kid?? how nice.. i wish i have too.. hehehe..
what i did before is that, everytime my husband go to work i study till he comes home.. so that maybe 8 hours studying. I finished answering the questions in saunders cd and the new book of kaplan that i bought(kaplan strategy with cd). I did not focus a lot in medications but in the actual exam i got alot of it(it sucks).
When i received my performance test from BON (1st attemp) I got 1 above passing, 5 near passing and 2 below passing including meds and management of care. And now i'm so frustrated coz i'm not ready to read the result that i did not pass again. I wish you live near here so that we could study together. i think i stress a lot in studying that why..
i hope we will make it the next time around.
