i've just finished reading the sticky on the Revised First Tip of Suzannes Plan. turns out that we'll only be needing Saunders Comprehensive for her review! sounds good to me okay, we'll do that. yehey... suddenly im so excited :roll

im still recuperating so once im able to pull myself together, ill go out and get the book cause i dont have it yet. which i hope gets to be today or tomorrow and not any later cause honestly, im getting tired of crying and hiding in my room!!!
    see you soon Suzanne!

[quote=seattlesbest000;2510766]StarMatrix, you're my inspiration right now.

Okay, so after we give ourselves a few days off, let's start reviewing again. Let's use Suzanne's Plan. The Kaplan NCLEX-RN book 2007 edition was very, very useful too. Then, there's the Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment book by LaCharity. Let's study and restudy and restudy them all.

I know somebody who only studied 500 Qs during his entire review period and passed. He said he just kept going through those Qs till he got them by heart. There's also this other person I know who used only the Saunders Comprehensive book and the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2007 and passed. We can also throw in the Kaplan Medication Flashcards if we still have time.

I found the Mosby's priority and delegation book (about 20 bucks at barnes and noble) to be really good - by the end of the book, I feel like I really "got it." There's also a lot of stuff out there on the flashcard websites for rote memorization.
Wouldn't it make sense that practicing a lot of questions would make you know it all? It makes sense, but it isn't true - I got very very sick of doing the questions, so I stopped. Knowing how the test works, I think, is the most important thing. Ncsbn does outline the labs you need to know but not the meds - I'd like to think the test has mostly important drugs, but some people do get really obscure ones. Go figure!

    I PASSED!:hatparty:

I could have probably bet my life that I had failed at 77 questions. But, I have certainly been blessed!

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Its nice to share all these NCLEX feelings of ups and downs with people who know what you are going through.

Good Luck to everyone. I will remain on here for support for those who are going to be taking their exam soon.

Lucky you! We were going to knock around New York after Thanksgiving, and we all got sick. I was so stressed out about the test, and afterwards I realize that the only the the stress did was make me sick afterwards. What a waste!

Kljanna: You can do it! Remember signs and symptoms are the most important thing when it comes to diseases. I think I spent too much time worrying about the hows and whys of a disease. When it comes down to what a nurse really needs to know, let's face it, you have to know what you're looking at.
We're all praying to be sure! I felt that support from the Nov test takers was such a great thing for me last week.
