Not sure how to read into this one....

Ok as you all may remember i took NCLEX a few weeks ago and failed it with 265 questions. I got my "packet" today and it said on the back of the paperwork that I "nearly reached passing standard".......crap. What does that mean? Does that mean I was riding the line the entire time ???

Anyway, I just paid the additional $275 to re-take the exam........hopefully in late August/early Sept. Of course, I'm not sure whether I want to take it before the summer is out and school begins for my kids OR if I want to schedule it for September after they are settled into school. Sigh......

Anyone who gets all 265 questions was straddling the line and close to passing. If you weren't close to passing, then the exam would have shut off sooner. You just needed to get a few more right! It doesn't necessarily mean you were straddling the line the whole time. You never did poorly enough for long enough that the exam determined you just weren't going to pass (because if it had, then the exam would have shut off). You also never did well enough for quite long enough to be consistently above the minimum baseline. But you must have been close or you wouldn't have kept getting questions.

That must be frustrating! Sounds like you were almost there, but when the last question was answered you just weren't quite at the passing standard.

Good luck studying for next time...and when you get in there, try to take each question individually and not stress about how many questions you're getting. You can do this!
