Nervous PN NCLEX Panic. NCLEX-PN in two days

Students NCLEX

Published

Hi guys! I haven't posted here in forever and I'm currently enlisted to take my NCLEX-PN on Thursday at 0800.

Man am I nervous!

I have been doing question after question.

My HESI score was a 1031 and I scored a 95% chance of passing NCLEX on my Kaplan PN readiness.

Despite that I have no bloody idea what to expect and that is killing me. So far the two people from our class that have taken have had two completely different experiences.

Help. Help. Help.

Be CONFIDENT! You have completed the biggest hurdle (nursing school *insert threatening music*) and think of this as just the last thing to make yourself official! I took the NCLEX-RN a couple months ago and I honestly felt like I bombed it but ended up passing in the minimum amount of questions. I spoke with some of my LPN friends who also said they felt the same way. One piece of advice I would give from one of their stories is don't panic if you get more questions than the minimum, and vice versa! Some people seem to think if they get more than 85 (I believe that is the minimum for PN) they are doing bad and freak themselves out, but that is not necessarily the case. Also, it is rare that people fail in the minimum amount of questions so if it shuts off at 85, just take a deep breath and be glad it is over! Everyone's experience is going to be different based on how they handle anxiety...so try not to let others' experiences freak you out.

Just go in there knowing that you learned what you need to know, or you wouldn't have walked across that stage not too long ago! You are going to be a NURSE and no computer will tell you otherwise :D

GOOD LUCK!

jessasaurusRN, thank you so much for this advice. I need to be more confident, while it is difficult I'm thankful for getting it done now! You are so right and I appreciate what you have posted here.

Now just to chill these jitters out LOL

I took my NCLEX this morning! It was not as bad as others put it out to be! Thank you for the words and faith!

I did the pop up trick and got a good pop up and I receive my quick results on Saturday!

Thank you so much again Jessasaurus!
