You will do fine. Take a deep breath. Get lots of rest and do not do to much the day before the test. Do not memorize the labs learn them. Focus on the main ones. K, glucose, dig levels, ptt, wbc, bun, creatine, etc.
I didn't have a lot of lab or meds on my test but you never know.

Don't be scared, have faith in yourself !!!!! I'll pray for you.
If you simply read your labs once every night before going to sleep, i'm sure by 12th you'll know them by heart.

I take it on the 13th. My sister (ICU RN) has advised me not to study the day before. I'll definitely pray for you and hopefully you can return the favor!! Good luck and let me know how you feel after the test

I was where you are not too long ago. I took the NCLEX back in July....I did not have ANY lab value questions...and if I did they were soo easy it was obvious. My prayers are with all of you who are about to take the boards...they are a bugger!! I'm sure you all have way over prepared but are looking for some comfort....here it is. I thought I failed after 75 questions beause it seemed too easy. I won't lie to you...the boards are a bugger, but Kaplan and Saunders were much harder. I had many Prioritizing questions and a few about Coumadin. I thought for sure I failed... I also had a weird question about Maalox. I was soooo bumming because I thought I failed the NCLEX because of a Maalox question...

I took the boards with my good friend...she was clicking away on the calculator...she had 7 calculations. Again..I knew I failed when I heard her clicking away. I did not have ANY calculations and she had 7. We both passed with 75 questions.

My advice is practice questions on th ecomputer, review the correct AND the wrong selections and you'll do fine

Prayers to my future collegues....

God Bless,

CHICKEY

I have heard that to, not to study the day before the test, but I am the type that will study the day before and I might take my book and study in the parking lot.

Definitely do not do that, if you do, you are going to over saturate your brain.
You should close the books at 5 pm, on the day before the last day.........You should have two full nights to just let your brain rest.

If you take the exam on Wednesday, then Monday at 5 pm, the books should be closed, take Tuesday for yourself. You will get yourself overstressed for nothing...............and cause more problems for you. If you do not know that material by Monday, trying to cram is not going to help. The exam is based on using common sense, and putting that together with what you have learned in school in the past.

Your choice...................

well, took my test today had all 265 questions!!! I know it doesn't mean anything but it still has me scared. I didn't have any lab questions and only 1 calc which was extremely easy. I had a lot of questions on TB meds, prioritizing and assigning pt. care. I also had at least 3 different questions related to autonomic dysreflexia.

Good Luck to everyone!!!!!!
