Hello Friends!

I'm new here in Chicago and planning to take the NCLEX exam. Can anyone please give me an advise on how to study effectively. I have a degree in BSN and graduated from sch 20 years ago:uhoh3: My work experience is not very significant. Can anyone help me as to where can I enroll for a refresher course (or if there is any facility here w/c will help me gain a little experience). I will welcome all your suggestions. Thank you very much for giving me a little time.;) I need friends too who can guide me in the exams...

Have you checked with your BON to see if they will require that you actually take a refresher course first before being allowed to sit for the exam? I suggest that you do that first, some states have strict requirements on this. Things have changed so much since you went to school that you are going to need to start the preparation from the beginning.

Hi everyone! Good luck to you Igle...Just wanted to say thanks to Suzanne for the advice with the book and wanted to let you know that I finally get the acid base balance...thx in large to Saunders! I had to share this with someone...in school I remember it was a difficult subject for me and I just couldn't grasp it and now I can. By the way, I went to those posts Amy from people that graduated a while ago as I did and it gives me hope that I too will pass...thx!

have you started saunders yet???? do you have yahoo messenger? I would love to have someone to bounce things off of that is in the same situation I am in. I just started the program this past weekend. Let me know!

AmyD

I also just started the program last weekend! I do have yahoo .....just send a friend invite and we can help each other when we need it! Thx again...it's nice coming on here and talking with ppl that know what you are going thru and how hard it is...sometimes my family forgets and I have to remind them...by the way...Saunders is wonderful and doing the tests first at the end really helps me see my strengths and weaknesses so I can focus on a couple of things instead of a lot.

Please share yahoo messenger IDs by pm only, do not post them here. This is for your safety.
