need tips to memorise pharma

  1. hello everyone..im preparing for nclex.rest is fine but i find it very difficult to remember the pharmacology. i wonder if there is any guideline to remember the drugs and their effects....PLease help me.I ll be greatful

    You don't have to remember specific drugs. Just remember classifications like for example beta blockers- end in lol- can't remember side effects now...hehehe but they are similar. If you remember the classification of the drug, you can actually go from there. Good luck! Hope this helps.

    I Dont Rememnber The Last One.. Eventhough I Failed Nclex I Know Have Knowledge. Somwehre.. Grrrr.

    Hi, passed the nclex just recently... Go visit MEDS Publishing It helped me a lot.. it's all there...the basics....don't waste time going thru the whole thing!

    hello. you dont have to memorize them because in the actual exam, the general or generic name and the common brand name is being provided. all you have to do, is familiarize yourself with the drugs. there are some drug categories which have a distinctive last syllables, so you can determine them. example, beta blockers end in -olol. examples, propanolol, metoprolol,acetabulol; ACE-inhibitors end in -pril. example, captopril, enalapril. dont stress yourself too much with pharma
