need help reapplying for nclex in a different state..

by kmg265

i didnt pass nclex the first time, since then i've moved to DC and want to take the test here. i orginally took the exam in PA and i'd have to wait 90 days before sitting for the exam again, in DC its 45 days. im confused as to how to go about reapplying, and who i should speak to? its been over 45 days but not quite 90, does that mean i can sit for the boards in DC?? i never recieved anything in the mail reguarding reapplying or my scores from PA.

If you are applying again from scratch to a new state then you have to start all over again. If you continue with PA and then pass you can endorse to DC but will still have to meet requirements

Wouldn't it be easier to start from scratch in DC and avoid the hassle of endorsing a PA license into DC, thus prolonging the time it takes before you can work? Contact the board in DC and ask them if you can apply and test now. Good luck.
