Hey everyone How are you?
I finished nursing school in 2003, but have been in school in another field since. I would really like to take my boards but I have no idea even where to begin. I don't have as much problems with the physio and medication stuff, but more so delegation, safety, prioritizing etc. HELP I dont know where to begin. The nursing board suggested the online course they give for me, but is that enough? How long should I study (I will also be in grad school in another field of science in the fall). So I wont be able to study hardcore for likke a month I suppose I will have to spread it out. Has anyone ever been in my shoes? Is it possible to pass this NCLEX being away from nursing for two years and not remembering anything? Any tips or starting points?

out of nursing for 8 years

I'm out of nursing for 8 years and I'm foreign nurse, studied in different language not in English. For me here is everything like new, I just remember from my school the medical terminology and some meds. Everything else is different or I forgot.
I'm studying now for 3 months not to much, but I feel like I know the material more and more the more I read, more it make sense and coming back to me. Don't worry it will come back. I started with Anatomy and physiology and then I moved to each system. Buy book for Nclex Review like Saunders or Prentice Hall ( book series in very detail) and go everyday through the content. Better slowly- quality is better than quantity.
Read the book 3 times do the practice test and in couple of months you will be familiar. I took even review at community college for 2 months twice a week.

my ATi test 3 months ago was 52 % now is 74 % which means 99% for passing boards!!!!!
