NCLEX scheduled for 7/25 but I'm nervous....

I am scheduled to take NCLEX-RN on 7/25 and I'm really nervous. I took a review course through Kaplan right after graduation in May. I've also been preparing by reading Kaplan and doing the qbank questions as well as questions from the Saunders cd's. I scored in the passing range on both the Kaplan diagnostic and readiness tests, though I didn't score much higher on the readiness test than what I scored on the diagnostic test. My average on the qbank questions is somewhere around 67%. I plan to do all 7 of the question trainers prior taking NCLEX. I also took the Mosby's test that's supposed to predict how well you will do on NCLEX and it says that I have a 99% chance of passing. What do you all think? How accurate are these things?

The most important thing is your armed with knowledge and you're psychologically prepared. Relax and don't panic .... just do your best and think that you will make it. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

It sounds like you are doing the right things to prepare yourself. Just remember to take some time out to relax!! I took the nclex on 6/21 (and passed!) with my best friend. We had planned on studying the day before, but instead went and got massages, had a nice dinner and went to bed early. That was the best thing I could have done for myself. Study up until a couple days before then put the books away - if you don't know it by now you aren't going to learn it in 2 days! RELAX - YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

I graduated in May 2006 and the minute i got my ATT i scheduled right away. Took the test 6/29/06 and passed with 75 questions. Get it over and done with as soon as possible. I convinced my friend to take it this week instead of August like she planned and she also passed with 75 questions. We both start our new jobs Monday. Good Luck and get going

So did you do any review to prepare? Or did you just go and take the test? I really wanted to test as soon as I graduated but, in KY, you have to have 120 hr internship before you can get your ATT. At the hospital where I work, we have to go through a 2 week "classroom orientation" which doesn't count toward the 120 hr internship. Sooo, we actually end up having to work about 5 1/2 wks total(2 wks classroom orientation and then 3 1/2 wks on the floor) before we can get our ATT. I did receive it quickly once the proof of internship completed was faxed to KBN. In fact, I received my ATT that same day via email. Here, we can work with our provisional license until we test. We work under the supervision of an RN preceptor and can do anything an RN can do as long as our preceptor is available to us. We use the title RNA(registered nurse applicant). Anyway, like I said, I really would've liked to have gotten NCLEX out of the way as soon as graduation was over but we're required to do that internship. By the time I finished the internship, I felt like I should take some time to review in case i had already forgotten some of the material....I know it sounds silly. I may go ahead and reschedule for an earlier date, if I can. I'm tired of stressing about it.
