My technique was doing the q bank questions and learning from the questions I got wrong. Read the rationales! Go back and create a quiz with only questions you got wrong to be sure that you are retaining the new info. Do the same with your question trainers. Google disease processes & drugs that came up in questions that you had no clue about. Reword the info into terms you understand. Practice the decision tree. It'll come like second nature with practice. Good Luck!

Congrats Shannon! I love a little inspiration! I graduated around the same time as you and took the Kaplan course the following week. The day after the course I ripped out the 3 wk plan in the book and have been following it since. I literally sit and study almost all day! I prefer to study with 110% effort and then celebrate sooner...instead of carrying my studying out. My breaks are mostly to eat (maybe occassional online shopping and looking for inspiration on allnurses LOL) and then I'm back at it. My test is scheduled next Tuesday. After taking my trainer 6 (62%) I almost rescheduled my test for this week, but instead I decided to save the $50 and study one more week. Took trainer 7 (61.9%) the other day and I felt that trainer 7 was the hardest. I actually havent found any part of studying easy though, but I just keep chugging away and when I get stressed I look at the background of my phone which says "keep calm and pass the NCLEX". I love that study guide that has been floating around and is probably all I will look at on Monday (the day before my exam). I'm praying that am RN this time next week! I think I will be more happy to see my name on the BRN website than when I graduated!

Sounds like you have an awesome plan and you are sticking to it BRAVO!! ? It actually doesn't cost anything to reschedule. $50 is due if you reschedule within 24 hrs of your test so rescheduling before that is absolutely FREE! ? A classmate warmed me about the fee and I decided to try it anyways and I was so excited to discover this! Your scores are great btw! Good Luck you got this!

Oh and that study guide was great! I read it 3-4 times before testing! And info from it definitely came up that I otherwise wouldn't have known. Those mnemonics are great!

I attached the study guide to this post. If you can get to a computer you can click the link and download it. I don't think you can see the attachment if you are using the all nurses app.

This is great info to keep in mind as I get closer to that magical date- thanks for sharing your strategies and thoughts.

Most likely, I will use the same study plan as you. I can study every day for eight hours a day in cram sessions- that's how I have been successful in academics so far.

That study guide is absolutely amazing! We owe a HUGE thanks to whomever took the time and energy to put it together ?

I love the username btw! I was in the Army I served as a surgical tech ? Yeah, as far as the study plan this is how I studied throughout nursing school. We usually only had a few days to study except for our senior final. I would spend 12-16 hrs a day away from home studying for test and it worked for me ("A" student). 20 days was more than enough time for me. You know what works best for you so stick to it
