by bsn21 Feb 25I just took my exam hours ago and tried PVT again I went through CC page..What's wrong with me?i studied ncsbn on my first try but didn't work.my 2nd attempt I know I'm gonna failed 'coz I didn't study. 3rd take(today) I study Kaplan(online and book),La Charity and exam cram book. I am so down, I graduated 2011 so it's almost 2yrs.HELP! I heard a review that cost $6k but I don't have that amount do you guys know if they offer like half payments then you'll pay full when you start working or like study now pay later?

Feb 25 by RNewbieI took the sylvia rayfield review and it was good. I know people who did the hurst review as well. I think HESI is a good resource to study. I think the best think is whatever review book you use, take the tests that are on the CD that come with it. Read all of the rationales. Each day do as many questions as you can and read the rationales, then review your areas of weakness. What was your school's nclex pass rate? How many hours a day do you usually study and how do you study? - Feb 26 by LYNDAAI used the Kaplan Strategies, Practices, & Review 2010-2011 edition when I tested in 2010. For me, I only used ONE source and learned that ONE source inside and out. I read this book from cover to cover twice. But on the second read, I took my time and really thought about each answer, correct and incorrect, until I understood why the answer was or was not chosen. My reason for using only one source is because I didn't want to confuse myself with the 'one book said this while another said that' issue. But I will admit that I spent a small fortune on study materials like NCLEX 3500 & 4000, Saunders NCLEX, etc., but I either gave them away or got refunds for all accept the Kaplan. Whatever you use, just make sure that you know WHY you made your choice and spend a few moments acknowledging why you DIDN'T choose any of the other choices to make sure you feel without a doubt or with minimal doubt that you selected the best answer. - Feb 26 by bsn21RNewbie- I graduated from the Philippines so as much I remember only 3 among our batch took NCLEX and nobody got it on their 1st try. I study about 4hrs a day of questionnaire and 1-2hrs reading. I have to recall everything 'coz I've been out of school for almost 2yrs.

torresm13- hmmmm...sounds good! we're both on the same track, I read then after I jump into the next topic I can't recall the previous one. Do you think it would be better if we study on a library or like panera...lol..I used to do it at home but I feel so comfy... -
