Nclex rn or pn

Nursing Students NCLEX

Good day or night everyone,

Will it be easier to take the nclex-pn than rn?

Thank you much

They are different exams based upon two different scopes of practice. One is not easier than the other but people that have taken both often find the NCLEX RN easier than the NCLEX PN.

I took both the PN and RN. Passed on first attempt with both.

I found the RN easier than the PN. I think for me it was because when taking the RN one I already knew what I was in for. I wasn't anxious because I had faced that beast before. As well, much of what I learned in LPN school is taught in the RN program (my state grants the first year of nursing classes iin the ADN program to LPN's. In their eyes the entire LPN program is equalivant to the 1st year of RN classes).

The difference I noticed between my two NCLEX's were that the RN had more teaching, delegation type things. The medical diseases etc were all the same on both of my tests.

That being said, I would never say either were 'easy'.

Neither are easy that's for sure. For me I found my LPN harder than my RN Nclex. I failed my LPN-Nclex the 1st time-passed on 2nd go round stopping at 180 something. Passed my RN-Nclex on the 1st go round stopping at 95 and only studied maybe 2 days.
