11 more days til my exam I'm sooo nervous i don't know what to do .lately I've been slacking off with my review maybe it's a bad sign my practice exam scores are on the 50-60 % accordingly you have to have an average of 77% for you to pass the nclex which bothers me A LOT!!! and my content knowledge is a lil poor in my own assessment i dunno I'm sooo LOST nurses.. help me out!!!

I always told myself as long as I review and feel what I'm doing is enough, forget the percentages you get. As long as you know you prepared, go in with confidence and give it your best shot. I planned my review to end a few days before the NCLEX and I didn't feel like studying 3 days before.. I just had enough! I knew I covered all the topics, did practice test and was ready to at least give it a shot. Good luck!

I really wanted to get this over.. If I passed then GREAT but if I didn't pass then I'll just have to contemplate on the things I did in my review then do better the next try.. I think I did prepare but I just don't know if it's enough to pass the first time.. I think I beat myself up with my review the first week that's why I just don't feel like studying soo much this past few days.. aahh I dunno too ambivalent right now..thanks for the advice though helped me to get through at least I'm not alone feeling like this

I understand about getting it over with but at the same time you want to go in prepared and be confident. The first time I took it, I was thinking like you and unfortunately I didnt pass but thats because I panicked and went really fast when I took the test. Stupid mistake but now I will be taking it the second time next week and I feel more confident than ever. I am not nervous and nor do I have the feeling of just getting it over with...if you think that way ( I did that the first time), I was rushing the test and wanted to just get out of there. Now I know I am going to take my time and think through the questions and answers and then select the best answer. I also feel these scores dont mean much..I took Kaplan the first time and my scores were high and I felt good about it but I still didnt feel as confident as I am now. I was suppose to take my test early November and due to Sandy hitting us, the test centers have been closed or completely booked so I got more time than ever lol. But either way, now I am more confident and this time around, I used different resources...I used mainly NCSBN (in my opinion NCLEX is just like their questions), PDA by LaCharity, Saunders and my notes from Fuer and documents that I found on this site..

Anyways, good luck and just stay calm, dont panic and review your notes daily. At least thats what I have been doing especially since my test was pushed off for an extra month!

I agree with this, definitely take it slow! I took up 2 hours for the 75 questions. I also studied Saunders front to back and studied 2-5 hours for almost 3 months everyday. Like I said, if you know you studied and prepared well go in with confidence and give it your best shot. You will not be able to know everything for the NCLEX.

Dont be scared...stay calm!! if you are scared and panicking, then you wont succeed. Just review your notes daily, have strong content background and you will do fine. Also look at your stuff and see where you are weak at...remember lab values for sure and what they mean when they are out of the normal values. Def go through infection control, procedures, diseases, meds etc..You will do just fine!! stay strong, confident and calm... Best of luck!!

I use Saunders too and some of the questions in the companion cd felt easy to me and then I compared it with the lippincott questions they were harder than saunders kinda worried I use saunders for my content and hurst review
