I feel like i am going NCLEX-RN crazy!!!!

I am doing Uworld, and reading the ATI-Comprehensive review book... I have a cram-sheet for my quick notes, and I feel good with my sources, I guess its just blowing me that I can't shake my nerves b/c I know its coming in a few weeks... I know God has me, but I need to get these jitters off of me!!!!

I feel crossed eyed, and batty right now!!!

Just wanted to share advice. I passed NCLEX first time, with 75 questions. I did Uworld and Hurst, I had access to kaplan but i thought it was a waste of time. With Uworld I would do about 30-40 on study mode (1hr), 30 min tv break and repeat for like 4hr a day, 1 week before the test. By the end of it you are so sick of questions, your mind just kinda starts seeing the answers before you even finish the questions. So when I went to take NCLEX i was so calm, I felt like I was doing another Uworld quiz.

FYI I did other stuff to study but I just wanted to share how I used Uworld.

That is my plan! I am getting close to testing, & my mind is so full of questions that they are oozing from my ears! I am almost done with all of the questions on there (UWORLD) with like a few 100-left! I Also started redoing some of the ones I got wrong in PHARM & MED/SURG... I wanted to be on the money with the rationales of all of those... My cram sheet is good for the quick stuff, & my touch ups come from the ATI-comprehensive. Its been going well. Im still working on my nerves, & developing a better test taking quality with knowing how to pace myself, & not spazz-out!!! lol but all in all, I am calming down!

What was your uworld scores ?!?

My scores started out in the 50-60s, but as I get close to finishing it up my scores are in the 70-80s... I have few hundred left, & I am doing the ones I got wrong over as well, & reading the rationales like crazy! I also took the NCLEX readiness assessments, & I scored a "Very-High" pass rate to pass the NCLEX-exam, so I'm praying that God pulls me through it in a few weeks! How are you doing with it...

I am a repeat test taker and I am scoring 70 right now and test in two weeks ugh

You got it this time!!! Just keep pushing thru them questions & rationales! It's all about the quality of what we know & learned from what we've studied during school, & now in our review areas! No falling apart until it's done! In 2-weeks you say you will be taking it, so you have to weeks to know that you are mentally ready to help save a life in a critical situation, that you are safe medically, & that you can teach your patient how to live with their issues once they leave you! So just keep saying you have it under control, "You Got This," & believe that it is already done! Pray about everything, & let God do the rest! My issue are my nerves, well once were my nerves, Now I'm focused on not letting my patients down, killing nobody, & beginning a practice that will be healing for whom-ever I touch with my hands! Find your purpose while doing the Uworld questions, & your reasons why, & go hard on that, & soon it all will start making since for you to feel comfortable, & confident in 2-week! Let's Go Nurse!!!

Really needed that today. I thank you very much. I appreciate it. I need to be more positive after you fail it you become very discouraged and it's hard to be confident.

Hey! & no problem! I Will encourage your spirit everyday until its test time if necessary! I have failed test in my life too, & failing at anything that you strongly desire can knock you down a bit, but its not about the fall, its how well we rise up from failing that establishes character! You have to be a awesone NURSE! B/c you made it this far. I use to watch ppl fail out of school like watching bad traffic, but you made it thru that, so I KNOW YOU can make it thru this part!!! THE PEACE OF RESISTANCE!!! THE PROFESSIONAL REGISTERED NURSE!!!

Amen to that one. I should be thankful I got through school when a lot did not. This test keeps my anxiety rolling that's for sure. And every review I use has put me in the 90% to pass and I have failed so that has really affected my mindset.
