So to all those who tried to pray for me, cheer me up and give few tips to make me a little more confident with myself.. I promised to give an update to ya'll about me sitting for NCLEX RN last april 17.. I thought it would be a great celebration but then again.. Unfortunately I FAILED for the 3rs time.. Results juz came in the mail.. Says i finished 162 questions but the performance was a disaster.. 2 below passing and everything else just near passing.. :( who gets that kind of result?? It seems like everytime I take it get a lot worse than better.. :( i'm trying so hard and i juz can't figure things out??? I am confident about it! And even before the computer went off i knew i answered it correctly.. :( i feel such a failure but i'm still praising God because i trust Him.. But often times i find myself asking if when will be that perfect time? Is this really for me?? Am i meant to be a nurse??? I just feel so down.. I just wanna know if this is really for me? This is not just a job for me.. It's a career.. But why? I'm sorry guys i wasn't able to keep my promise of passing.. :( i need help..

HUGS! I am so sorry but I am STILL praying for you! What seemed to confuse you or was hard for you on the exam? What are your weak areas? I would just relax and regroup. Take a few days to just do YOU things. Don't be so down on yourself or it will make it worse. I would then go back to focusing on what you felt weak in. Read rationales! Re-register and knock that baby out!

You can do this!!! Never give up. You made it through nursing school and will pass this test. I too was a unsuccessful in NCLEX and passed 2nd try. What are you using for study materials? How is your anxiety? How and where do you study? Is there some teacher or tutor through your school which can help you still? Do you take scheduled breaks? Give yourself a "free day"? Don't give up a test does not define you and you can do this and will get through this just like many of us have!!!! Praying for you.

I see the point there.. I wanna believe it, it's juz we are not that financially blessed too that's why failing it over and over is really hard for me too.. But thanks for that Hadassah16..

Thank you for the encouragement ACSRN24.. I am using kaplan books, i also just finished the Hurst online review, i have my PDA, nclex cram, the green book from lippincot which are alternate formats of questions and NCLEX made incredibly easy.. I was doing good with my anxiety on the day of my exam, i'm juz getting information blocked at times when i get topics i barely know.. I study when i'm most alert and do questions after certain topic so i can try if i really retained what i learned. I have no teacher or tutor to help me though because I'm an international graduate. I give myself a break on the weekends just to refresh myself too..

I'm so sorry for your plight. I understand the feeling but please do not give up. You have come way too far to do that now. Keep trusting God and try to change some of ur study habits. Take breaks during study. Have you tried using the priority & delegation book by LaCharity??? It's a phenomenal book for NCLEX. Try it and read it cover to cover before retaking the test. If you don't have it, I can ship mine to u for free. Just let me know. I'll be praying for your success.

Sorry to hear that you didn't pass this time. I know the feeling because I've been there too. Cry if you must. Let all the negative feelings out and then pick yourself up again; learn from your mistakes, study, and retake this exam. Don't ever give up no matter how many times you fall because the only ones who really fail are those who give up on their dreams. I have some questions for you if you don't mind me asking?

1) Do you used all the books you listed above to study? Maybe, you should concentrate on 1 book for content & the rest should be questions.

2) Do you study alone or with a group? If alone, do you study in a quiet place? If not, maybe you should try to go somewhere with no distractions, so you can really focus on your studies.

3) What do you do when you're stress? For me, I do yoga and take long walks in between studying. It helps me think more clearly.

4) How many hours of studying do you do per day? What about questions?

5) When you're studying, do you only focus on the material you're weak on? Try to evaluate which content you're weak on and focus more on those. Leave the ones you're good on for last.

I see the point there.. I wanna believe it, it's juz we are not that financially blessed too that's why failing it over and over is really hard for me too.. But thanks for that Hadassah16..
I understand your plight my friend. I too failed the NCLEX too. Read some of my post and you will understand better. me and my hubby is financially challange right now. I don't even have the money to pay for the NCLEX exam. However, I am trusting God for it. I am studying now and when I get the money I will pay for the exam. I understand what you are going through. My private patient died in at the begining of the year. So my hubby alone working and we leave in New York where cost of living is high. I am enduring so that I can finally put the exam behind me. Don't give up my Dear. Stay Strong.
