I never heard of the How to pass 101, but the Kaplan on-line Q-bank was very helpful. I took every question on there. You got select to make a test on the questions that you got wrong. This was a GREAT tool. The NCLEX was set up exactly like the questions Kaplan offered in the Q-bank so it felt like another Kaplan quiz. I only took Kaplan, so cannot say or judge other review courses. I also bought other NCLEX review books but once I got the Kaplan book I used nothing else. Kaplan goes by the blue print for the NCLEX. Tells you what and where to concentrate. I was a C student in nursing school. I am a single parent with two kids, three dogs and planning a destination wedding in July. So I think to pass with only 85 questions the first time around tells you I studied hard with the help of Kaplan. I would not have passed without that course. I swear I don't work for Kaplan. lol Best of luck. I need to look for a job.

Default I also had 265 and passed! :-) What a relief! You can do it too!
Hello!

I took my NCLEX-RN on Friday and I had all 265 questions! It was one of the worst feelings when the computer when on to questions 76, 77, 78...how awful! I was frozen at that point and just kept plugging away trying to answer the questions the best I could, considering my head was in another place at that point. I completely understand what the pain of having to do all 265 questions is like. When I left the exam, I was devasted. I was crying on and off for at least 5 hours afterwards and into Sunday.

I just want to say that to all those who are waiting to find out their results after 265 questions...HAVE FAITH! I had completely written myself off as a "fail" even throughout the exam. I was so confident that the computer would have turned off after 75, that I was not able to thoroughly concentrate on the remaining questions. Knowing it was a race against the clock and my brain had left me at this point, I knew it was hopeless to pass.

I said many prayers to the Lord before, during and after the exam. I truly believe that the Lord is the reason I did end up passing the NCLEX with 265. He held my hand and watched over me throughout the exam, even though I felt completely abandoned.

Please hang in there to all of you who think that you may have failed after 265-even if the questions kicked your fanny! There is a HUGE chance that you passed-I did and I was lost for the most part after 75.

I also want to say thank you to all the people who have contributed to this site in regards to their experience with this NCLEX and especially in response to 265 questions. You all truly help me get through this dreaded waiting period.
Thank you! You all were blessings to me through such an EXTREMELY stressful 2 days. May the Lord bless you all in all that you do!
