I'm a foreign graduate nurse .I graduated 17 years ago(1991).I have lived in USA for 5 years and I'm stay-home mom.I never attended any class.
I would like to say thank you everyone in this site for sharing story.
I passed the NCLEX 1st time because of
1.you guys who inspired me either failling or passing.
2.Susanne's plan + SAUNDERS edition4
...Her plan helped me a lot .Her plan guide me how to prepare the test.Eventhough I didn't use her plan exactly, I did use CD for every questions. As I told you I 'm foreign graduated nurse and graduated 17 years . I got more anxious
for preparing the test so I also use
3.Kaplan Q trainer...the score didn't quite impress

4.Important thing is
My confidence.
I took the test on NOV 15/2008.I got 263 questions and took me for 5 hours.When I left testing center,I called my husband and told him " prepare extra money for$200"
I got every part in nursing--psycho,phama,cardio,gastro,pedi,gyne,maternal,law, respiratory,infection control,burn. The sure thing are
- priority-who assess first,return call first,who should bedischarged
- delegation questions.
- I got 4 satas.
- I got repeat questions about phama, cardio,gastro.
When I left testing center.I believed i failed but in the bottom of my heart
i have hope so on NOV18/2008 ,I looked in CA BOARD and typed my lastname and enter FIND .I waited for 5 seconds and then I saw my name
I couldn't believe my eyes.I rechecked many times ,my name still there.
I CAN DO IT , YOU CAN DO IT TOO. CONFIDENCE ,CONFIDENCE
My daughter 3 year-old ,she love to sing this song that she got from her favorite show"
DON'T STOP DON'T GIVE UP KEEP TRYING KEEP TRYING" while I was studying.
Nclex-Rn the 1st time with 263 questions!
