NCLEX REVIEW in LA area (artesia)

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

hi everyone. just wanted to share to all my nclex experience. took kaplan review at first but all they had were bunch of practice questions. the intructor would only answer your question pertaining to the question that you are answering. the instructor said that they cannot explain or answer other questions. you just have to read about it. took nclex and failed. a friend of mine recommended AMERICA HEALTHWAYS EDUCATION. the instructor would explain all the questions that you have and if he doesn't know it, he would go out of his way and find out about your question! its a 7 days refresher course. he goes over almost everything that you've learned (or not) in nursing school and maybe more! haha... this course helped me a lot on my next take and learned a LOT more than what i knew when i took it the first time! i am now an RN and is on the next level of difficulties...looking for a job! good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone, for the questions on how to contact them, here is their website http://www.americahealthways.com/ , the numbers are posted there, you can ask them directly regarding the price, we cannot post the price here since it would violate the site's policy. If you want the direct email of their owner its [email protected]

I took my NCLEX-RN exam last february 24, 2011 and now, I am an RN! =)

All credits go to the best review center ever, America Healthways Education! =) I actually signed up for their Feb. 2010 class and also signed up for their extended review program but I only attended 2-3 months of the review.. After that I came back, October and attended the review until Feb. 2011 (huge thanks to the review center for still allowing me to attend classes :).. In their review classes, you will have a big binder of the review material and I also highly recommend the nclex bullets they have at the review center, it is such a good material to read and for you to learn.. =) These two are the only materials I read in preparation for my NCLEX exam and it is really concise and helpful.

The review class is great and it has such a good atmosphere for learning. In class, you will meet good friends and the class is like a family. In the seven day review, you will review all systems and topics and have a final test at the last day. During the review class, each topic also has powerpoint presentations and there are also visual aids to guide you. For tutorial classes which is 3 days in a month, you will have a thorough discussion of topics and have practice tests that will help you get used to answering NCLEX questions. =) And one more bonus point is the free coffee and tea.. yessss! =)

Also in between and during classes, the instructor will also send you additional materials thru email to help you further with the review. The instructor and his wife is really nice, very accomodating, they will always motivate you to do your best and they will give you confidence that you can pass your test and be a nurse.. =)) :)

Enormous thank yous to America Healthways Education for helping me fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse and for also helping me give a better future for my family.. =) Thank you for believing in me and for all the good memories. =)

This is the best review class / refresher course for NCLEX -RN and NCLEX-LVN! It is worth every penny, rating of 10/10, highly recommended and for sure, they will help you reach your goals! =))

Hi,

I went to the America Healthways Education review class (495 dollars) in February 2011 in Artesia (after I failed on my first try on the NCLEX-RN exam), and I was very pleased to be a student there. It is a very good review center, you get all material you need to pass the NCLEX-RN/LVN and the educator really knows what he is talking about. The class is interesting and they are also very friendly, I felt very welcomed there. America Healthways Education really wants you to pass, and they try to help as much as possibly, very appreciated.

But, it is a lot to study, and the first days I was overwhelmed... I did each chapter one by one, tried to repeat and to learn as much as possible and after 8 weeks I was ready for the big test! I had studied everyday approximately 6-10 hours per day for 8 weeks, REPEATED everything 3 times, and I PASSED the NCLEX-RN! So for me, going to America Healthways Education really helped, and I know that without them I would still be struggling on my own.

I truly recommend America Healthways Education, you get everything you need for the NCLEX there, and you learn a lot and meet other in the same position as you.

So go for it! I passed - so can you, I know it!

Allnurses.com is a goldmine for me. A few months ago, I remember browsing the web seeking for some direction on how to go about preparing for the NCLEX-RN. I stumbled upon this site and started reading the testimonials. From all the things that I gathered from the testimonials of previous board passers, I decided to attend a review center to bolster my review. I had to make a decision of picking the right review center for me. My husband picked America Healthways Education, among 2 other possible ones. And viola! He takes pride in helping me make that big decision. Here's why..

I just passed the NCLEX-RN with 76 items and I still can't believe I do not have to review anymore! It is now my time to share the journey that I took, which might help others attain their goals.

In hindsight, I believe that good preparation, the right mental attitude, lots of prayers and a great support from a good review center honed me to nail nclex the first time I took it. As a foreign graduate, I had a lot of fears. Firstly, I was worried about the percentage passing rate of foreign graduates, first time candidates of 31%, as compared to around 90% of those who graduated from the US. Secondly, I understand that the clinical scenarios here are different from those of my country. Lastly, I had tons of questions and I needed the support of a review school to address them. I needed a lot of help, guidance and reinforcement which I received from America Healthways Education. I opted to take the unlimited program which consisted of 7 days of lecture, and 3 days of tutorial each month, plus the chance of having a one-on-one session with our competent instructor. In the latter, I took tests and was evaluated and coached by the instructor. He pointed out areas where I can improve on and kept track of my improvements. I decided to stay longer after the first month to cement the loads and loads of information into my head. (The materials are exclusively for America Healthways Education reviewees and are constantly updated).

Our instructor and his wife (education coordinator) are just amazing people! I felt comfortable enough to ask questions and never hesitated to seek advice. The review school has a family-like atmosphere of good camaraderie, awesome support system and fun-filled learning experience. Believe me, you will feel at home instantly. I will definitely miss our lunches, pot lucks, and the yummy treats from board passers! Not to mention the overflowing supply of freshly brewed coffee that kept me awake and alert during classes!

I have to start submitting resumes and going to interviews to get a job as an RN. But before that, I am going back to my review center to take my ACLS class, to say hello to my classmates and to say my sincerest thank you to these wonderful people at America Healthways Education. To all of you who are preparing for the NCLEX, always remember not to panic...relax...breath in, breath out... good luck, keep focused, and keep the FAITH. YES, YOU CAN DO IT, TOO!!!

I graduated in 2007..I enrolled at America Healthways Nov.2009 and I did the unlimited program.. But I did not know what to expect the first day of this class my head was spinning from a brain overload of too much info.. So figured just one week of this class will not register in my brain so.. I enrolled for the unlimited course.. I highly recommend this Review center.

This Review Center includes a comprehensive review with practice q&a's..

Comes with FREE coffee and tea..

The Binder that you get when you register will be like your bestfriend till you pass..I recommend to read it over and over till you understand it not memorize it.

I was working full time and I did not take this course serious at all I would come to class but my mind was not present..All I would do was try to memorize the content.. Which is not the way togo it resulted in failure..

So I took the instructors advice to stop working, focus, understand the material, make sacrifices to fulfill your dreams.. And thats what I did.. I took my test May 11, 2011 and I stopped @85. Everything I got on the test was well explain @ this review center..I did the pearsonvue trick right after I left the testing center and the good pop-up came up..I got my results on May 21, 2011 and I passed...Thanks to America Healthways I am now officially an LVN and I was able to fulfill my dreams..

This is the best review center ever.. The instructor explains the content and also shows pictures and videos on the powerpoint..Also actual material/supplies used in healthcare..To help you better understand the content..I just stuck to this review and nothing else.I combined it with Q&A's from Priority, Delegation,Assignment book and NCLEX 2500..

Great fun enviornment, I learned so much from this place.. This is a great investment towards a better future..

Hi everyone,

I'm Meriel N. Magat and I would like to share my journey passing the Nclex...

I graduated from Holy Angel University in the Philippines on April 2010. I didn't take the Local Philippine Board Exam because I left for California in May.

My brother and I were self studying, reading over our materials from college, buying books, and searching the net for any helpful information. While looking for a great review center, he came across America Healthways Education at www.americahealthways.com. We saw the website and read amazing testimonials and interested, we called them at (562)924-5352 and scheduled a visit at 18300 Gridley Road, Artesia Ca 90701. Upon arriving there, they were very nice and indeed did they uplift our spirits. Seeing pictures of all the former students of A.H.E. motivated. After speaking to them, we had one choice in mind and that was to enroll as soon as possible.

Enrolled for the regular class which is 7 days and it was a shocker. The class was mixed with international and local graduates of all ages, and the room was big and very conducive for learning. So much better reviewing here then it was for self study I can say. The nursing practice in the Philippines is way different and I bet for other international graduates you feel intimidated like I did. The flow of the discussion was organized, clear and understandable. Every system was discussed and when someone had a question, the instructor had an answer that was explained in own words and not off a book or something. Everything was discussed phenomenally! All connected and reviewing became actually fun and interesting. It sounds hard to believe, but yes, I enjoyed! The class was filled with interaction. After the 7 day program, we had a test. I must admit the 7 day was overwhelming (4 years in college discussed in 7 days). We were given a test at the end of the session. My brother and I decided to go to the extended review where we could attend class for more months until we felt competent to take the test (of course you need to attend it regularly). Three additional tutorial days where a topic would be discussed in depth or where the students had the chance to ask about topics that were confusing. Everyday at review, I learned something new. I stayed in class a couple of months but hearing the discussion over and over with new information, made it easy for information to retain. The people at review also made this experience amazing. Really friendly and they do care about your review and how you're doing.

After series of tests, dedicated hours to review, mixed emotions of being nervous, anxious and excited, I was ready! Being the first time challenging the board, I felt comfortable and knowledgeable more than ever thanks to the preparation I had.

Throughout reviewing, I learned that you must believe in yourself and always look forward. You can achieve your dreams, step by step. You'll get there. I'm 21 years old and I got those 2 initials after my name and it's just the beginning of my journey. Good luck to everyone and never stop believing. . .

Congrats Meriel, C.Santos and all the nclex passers from A.H.E.C. :) Wishing you all the very best.

It was just like about 2 miles from where my school was. I decided to attend the review classes and took their extended program. After 5 months of review, I finally passed NCLEX. I just found out yesterday that i passed the NCLEX-RN! :yeah: I actually can't believe it until now, I am 21 years old with RN after my name. what a pleasant gift! Thanks to America Healthways Education for teaching me the best way to pass the nclex.

The materials have helped me a lot like no other. I love their NCLEX bullet. very brief and informative! If you have troubles in the disease process, you can directly ask the instructor and will respond to your question accurately and professionally. they even have the actual things that are used in the hospital settings.

Hi guys, allow me to share this with you; if you want something so bad you have to strive hard to get it. When you ask something to God, never doubt, ‘cause he knows what your heart desires. After 3 months of hard work, long drives, and lots of prayers, here I am living my dream as a nurse. I would like to thank my husband who helped me find this review center through allnurses.com. I am so grateful to find America Healthways Education in Artesia California (just across Cerritos Mall), which helped me get through this challenge, I’m very thankful to all the people behind this review center and to that one person who stayed up late making his lecture notes providing us with a really good book and bullets which were a helpful tool in memorizing what you need to know for the exam (formulas, conversions, laboratory values). I also used Linda La Charity and Linda silvestri. Thank you… never stop reaching your goals.:nurse:
