Can someone please help me with LVN's scope pf practice??? I have a bsn degree but i'll be taking the NCLEX PN in a few weeks. Ive been studying Saunders compre review for nclex RN, but i read here that the "approach" is different from the nclex rn.

How should i answer the questions??

If you need help in understanding the scope of practice of the LVN, a great place to start is with your state's nurse practice acts. These should be readily available through the BON website, and knowing the full practice act is essential in maintaining your scope of practice and thus your license. As for how to answer questions, I know NCLEX has changed a lot since I took it, but many review books include a chapter with tips on how to answer the questions. Have you purchased any to help you study?

Yes i did. I have kaplan, lacharity, and saunders. do you think its okay to use nclex rn books / q&a and then just read lvn's scope of practice? Would that be sufficient?

Btw, thanks for your reply. Appreciate it. :)

No, NCLEX RN books should not be used to study for the NCLEX PN exam. They are two very different exams and the appropriate study materials for the exam should be used.

Invest in NCLEX PN books especially because you are RN trained and trying to take the PN exam.

This.

You will essentially need to study from NCLEX-PN reviews ONLY; look into Saunders, ExamCRAM and other materials for the NCLEX-PN.
