NCLEX in 2 days!!!!!!!!

  1. 0 I am taking my NCLEX on Wednesday (6/26) I am having the worst anxiety ever!!! I'm sure everyone feels the same. I've always gone on here for support and encouragement but not a member. I just became a member bc I cannot take this anxiety anymore! Ahhhhh please pray for me. I did not tell anyone that I am taking the NCLEX. I hope I will pass the first time!

Good luck!!! Relax and take a deep breath. Pray before starting and try to be confident! I haven't told anyone I'm taking it either. I take it July 8th.

I just took mine today. I studied for 3 weeks (even in the parking lot before the test), did about 150-300 Qs a day and reviewed rationales and content equaling over 4000 Qs (the whole Kaplan qbank (redid the the incorrect Qs), trainers (more than once), sample tests, and the whole ATI suite from school). It shut off after 75 Qs and I got the good pop up! My best advice is to just remember you studied and to not second guess yourself or let your nerves get the best of you. Eat high protein meal before; I couldn't eat so I forced down some protein bars. I also made sure to go to the gym a few days and the night before to release the nervous energy to get some sleep. If you dont go to the gym, dont start now but do something physical like take a walk for at least an hour. Most importantly, be stone cold! Literally say to yourself that you are rock solid, that theres no reason to do anything but pass. Take big, deep, controlled breaths and hold them in and will your pulse to slow down. Remember you are a nurse who has overcome every obstacle and this is no different. As nurses, we always persevere through the challenges and anxiety. This is the last hurdle before the finish line. Best of luck to you and God bless.

    hi nd,

let me start by saying i am sorry that you have had such a difficult time and as much as i'd love to give you advice, i do not have any official results myself. i only have had the pv trick to rely on which has me in all sorts of anxiety after reading some posts about people getting it and failing. so i cannot answer 100% until i officially know my results. however to answer your question, as i had stated in the previous post, i kept doing questions. literally did over 4000 questions including the entire kaplan and ati programs. i took over all of my incorrect questions, read every rationale, relearned any content i did not understand, and literally kept studying. i made screen shots that i'd print and look over. many of my mentors at the hospital where i work as an aide literally said keep doing questions. sure enough i even saw a few that i recognized on my test from studying. just dont give up. if you want it, you will get it and be a great nurse. God bless you and continue to stay positive.

    best,

    mjh

Congratulations to you! From what I've been reading the PV trick is a very positive sign but I couldn't agree with you more, I want to see officially that I passed. Just try to keep busy and maybe the palpitations will stop (although mine have not) 2 days time will be here before we know it.
