nclex fashion :)

Hey everyone. According to the pearson candidate bulletin, we are not allowed to wear coats, scarves and hats in the testing room. But are we allowed to wear sweaters inside or sweatpants? I know it seems unprofessional, but I think it would really be comfortable for me if I wear that... Plus I get really really cold.

I know when I took mine on Friday that they made me take off my watch. I wore comfy jeans and a shirt. I also had a sweater on because I was cold. They asked me if I was going to wear it the entire time and I said yes. That was about it. Hope this helps!

Wow they even make you take off your watch? They're really careful, aren't they? Well I guess I'll just bring the sweater with me cause I'm pretty sure I'll get cold in there.. What did everyone wear for their nclex test? or what are you guys planning to wear? just curious

So do you know what happens if you have a zipup hoodie on and decide to take it off? Do you have to get up in the middle of the test and put it in your locker?
I'm planning on wearing a tshirt, zip up hoodie and the most comfy capri sweatpants I own!. I'm still trying to decide what kind of shoes to wear- I feel most comfy in flipflops but I feet are always cold!! Hmm..decisions decisions!

I really have no idea. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. All I know is from what I experienced. Don't stress over what to wear because as you know, the exam is stressful enough as it is.

The last thing on my mind when I was taking the NCLEX was what I was going to wear. Just go comfortable. Anything you can't bring in with you, you get a locker for.

does anyone know if we can wear hoodies? I have the same outfit i wear for all my test and it involves sweatpants and a bright hoodie. I am nervous they aren't going to let me wear it because it has like a front pocket and a hood. They can strip search me for all I care as long as i can wear it! lol... anyone wear a hoodie to test?

Each testing center might be a little bit different on following these guidelines. However, when I went to test I wore comfy jeans and a black short sleeve tee shirt that is super comfy. I then took a white hoodie that zips up the front. I did not wear it but took it in with me. They checked the pockets and asked if I was going to wear it. I said yes but never put it on. When they took me into the room and were starting my computer I put the hoodie over the back of my seat and they did not say anything. It did not get cold and I never put it on so it stayed on the back of my chair the entire time. If your proctor says anything to you just tell them that you have a tendecy to get cold and don't want to worry about it when you test. Other then that you can't wear a watch or have anything in your pockets. You can only take in your locker key, driver's license and wiper board with black marker that they give you. Best of luck on your test!!
