Nclex Drug doses

by Inzane

When Nclex has a question like 10mg/kg. And let's say 160lb pt. I did the math and came out to XX.8 or xx.9. Do you round up? Even on a child? It said enter the whole number.

The question should indicate whether it needs rounding up or not

My understanding when it says round up to whole number then if less that .5 ie 2.4 then dose is round down to 2.0 as that is the whole number and if more than .5 ie 2.8 then round up to 3.0 as that is the whole number.
