I graduated RN nursing school 5 1/2 years ago. I took the NCLEX one time and didn't pass. I have never tried to retake it. I am now wanting to take the test. Does anyone know of a state that has a test time of longer then 5 years. I am from GA and it is 3 years. TN is 3 years. I can not go through the nursing program again and that is what I have been told so far. Someone please write me if you know anything.

I did check with my state. You have 3 years after you graduate to take the NCLEX. After that you have to go through the WHOLE RN program again... There is no way that I would do that.... I sat down and e-mailed all the state board of nursing last night. Eager to hear their response..
