Our college recommended www.learningext.com. You can purchase a study package on this site. I used this!!!

learningext is not that great. the questions are very simple with simple answers, nothing like the nclex

if i were you, I would invest in kaplan complete course, and do everything they tell you. I did just that and passed 1st time 75Q

Advice: Practice alot of computerized test questions everyday and alternate review on med-surg. That's what I did, and passed with 140 questions.

Take your time on NCLEX, read questions twice, eliminate, for prioritizing: use ABC's, Maslow's hier., and Nursing process., for pharmacology use root words to memorize classification like -lol.. use classification..their common side effects, action in each classification.

Last thing..... TAKE a DEEP BREATHE, RELAX, DONT PANIC!

I agree 100%. We were required to do the learningext course for my "transition to practice" course, and it wasa joke.

Do Kaplan online, if you have the money. If not, buy the book from a bookstore (about $30). Kaplan is the ONLY program close enough to the NCLEX -- and it's still not hard enough. The others (Mosby & Saunders) aren't challenging enough.)

Kaplan online is great because there is like a 3000+ question bank. Just do questions over and over and over until you take the test.

I passed the NCLEX in 75 questions also, and I thought those questions were more difficult than anything I'd ever seen before -- even the ERI tests (not sure if anyone else has done those) we were required for each subject in school.

Sadly, I feel that passing the NCLEX had VERY LITTLE to do with nursing school. Many of those questions are so critical thinking that I could picture someone passing it by just doing Kaplan and NEVER having been to nursing school. Kaplan teaches you HOW to answer the NCLEX questions (because they're NOTHING like nursing school [recall] or real life [multiple options in reality]). Also, if you do the timed tests, it helps you prepare NOT to be so nervous. You go in there expecting to answer ALL 265 questions and spending SIX hours there. That helps a TON if you have test anxiety.

I went in expecting ALL the questions and SIX hours. I finished 75 questions (and the intro junk) and less than 1 1/2 hrs. When I came out of the room, the proctor commented on how quickly I finished. I was like, DUH! It terrified me! I was convinced I failed. But I didn't.

In any case... good luck!

I suggest re-reading questions (esp. if your brain is farting on you), but don't re-read to the point of over-analyzing. Then you'll get trapped in wondering if it's a "trick" question. Remember: It's NOT nursing school, and there are NO trick questions. They may be tough & confusing, but they are NOT designed to trick you. They truly want to know if you're capable of thinking critically.

Hi I suggest that you try JUNO review Center, they will start on May 3 (9am-5pm) and will run for 8 consecutive Saturdays unti June 21st. They offer ineractive review class with unlimited computer access.. For me, Audio-visual really helps..
