I'm still curious about where these 4,000 NCLEX questions come from? I started NCSBN Learning Extension yesterday for a 3 week course... I rather have the hurst review but I can't afford it at the time. Where are these 4,000 questions coming from???? and AspiringRN2b-Good luck! it seems like you have really been on top of the ballgame here!!!!!!

It's you to figure out whether 2 month is enough for you to study or not.I would also suggest you to buy strategy book by Kaplan which will help you to understand how the exam really works and how to answer different type of questions.I have not passed the exam yet so i cannot suggest anything more than this.
    Good luck!!!

Hello...I am a new "member' to this site and glad I stumbled across this thread. Im just now getting around to creating a study schedule. Im planning on taking my NCLEX at the end of November. Where does one start?

Ive noticed that many of you are using the Hurst review. Any input on how NCSBN review compares to the Hurst review? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

So far my study materials are:

    Saunders Comprehensive review
    PDA by laCharity
    Kaplan test taking strategies
    Saudners Q&A flashcards

Any tips on a how to create a study schedule would also be appreciated! Good luck to you all!

Study schedule:Figure out in which part you are weak.Is it a content or strategy??Get a calendar and make a schedule for each system as i have done in this log.Take one at a time and do not over do it or drag yourself to study.Take a weekend off or take one day off in a week. This is how i made my schedule and have not appeared the exam yet so i cannot really tell whether this schedule worked for me or not.You can search in here for study schedule and can see what worked the most for other people who passed this exam.Do some research and analyse what will work for you.

Following are my own experience about the review. It may or may not apply to everyone and you are the one to figure out what works best for you as you know yourself better than anyone.

Hurst review:It is a must have for content as Aunt Marlene explains everything in a very easy way.If you are someone like me who do not retain much after reading a book then i would say go for Hurst.Reading a book just didn't work that well for me so i totally switched my study habit and followed Hurst. If you are a mix of auditory and visual learner then this will be the perfect review for you.I personally did not like their questions so i combined Hurst with Kaplan question bank.If you want more information about Hurst then visit their website or you can search in here about the Hurst review.

NCSBN review:It also consist of content and the questions.I personally did not like this review despite of affordable price.Their rationale for the questions are really bad and they do not even explain why the question are right or wrong for each answer.I did not even look at their content as it was so lengthy and so boring.
    Good luck!!!
