How important is it for me to use the latest edition of Mosby's or Saunder's NCLEX study guides? I thought the questions change some as the years pass, but would a 2005 edition compared to 2008 or 2009 put me at a large disadvantage? Thanks so much!!

I just took my NCLEX and passed!!! I would say study what you have. I went to the Hurst Review which helped a lot! And my nursing school did Kaplan review. I say do about 200 questions a day for about a week and you will be golden!!!

I wasnt aware that questions change but i would think that most material would stay the same.... except like new things like gardasil or so.

Always better to use the latest resources when studying, they are in most cases going to be up to date on the different format styles questions there are

The test blueprint for the RN changed in 2007 so I would use the more up to date book. The books that were written in '05 are for a previous NCLEX blueprint.

I have also read that the 4th edition of Saunders has more on the new question format. It is just best all the way around to get something more recent. One edition out might not be bad, but four years could be significant. Not everyone would know that the testing blueprint changed in 2007.
