Medical emergencies

I wanted to start a thread that shows some of the major medical emergencies, the cardinal signs of these medical emergencies, risk factors and what to do.I think that this could help us with prioritizing patients
eg pulmonary embolism:
Patient presents
Tachypnea form decreased PCO2
Hypoxia from decreased PO2
Dyspnea
Tachycardia
Hemoptysis
Sharp sudden chest pain
Restlessness
Diaphoretic

Risk Factors
Immobility
Obesity
DVT
Postop (abdominal surgery and orthopedic surgery etc)
Postpartum
Oral contraceptive
Venous stasis

Treatment
Oxygen
IV heparin and fluids
relieve patient's anxiety

Under Patient Presents, you list "tachypnea from decreased pCO2", which I question.

Rapid breathing would cause a patient to blow off excess amounts of CO2, leading to a decrease in pCO2, not the other way around.
