I love her review for medsurg! it helped me pass my Ortho/cardio/and the separate OB helped me pass the class.

I would of bought the book you bought, but I have way too many review books already. Hesi, lippincott, mosby, and Saunders (close to the one you have)

the books have great questions, and tells you sections that are commonly tested... (very similar to what kaplan gave me!)

hi....mary ann hogan the author is a former item writer for the cat nclex-rn®, she has been teaching nclex® review programs for the past 14 years! she also contributed questions for saunders comprehensive review and much more....a friend of mine used it and passed with flying colors ...used it for two weeks! all of her review questions are at the level of difficulty as the actual exam. i did kaplan during the fall and i can honestly tell you that i have ran into similar questions found on kaplan as are in mary anne hogan's review and i wonder if kaplan contracted her to write some of their questions. i bought a saunders book because i heard all the hipe about suzanne's guide so i am using it write now but the quesions in saunders seem to easy for me...as i said ms hogan contributed a few questions to saunder 900 to be exact. look up her resume ... punch in her name and you can find it. this book is fairly new and in the past the way people would prepare was by using hernine books! so they comprised them into one ...i am stuck between using this book and saunder's given suzanne's feedback from students that used her plan. but heck if this women was a former item writer..i think this book is our best bet. its as comprehensive as saunders but unlike saunders its content is unique because its organization integrates nursing concepts into the categories of client needs as they would be found on the actual nclex-rn exam. by doing this it allows us to study for specific sections of the test based on the results of any predictor tests for the nclex-rn. i don't know bud...what do you think are you going to use it? i feel we should use it instead of

saunders i think the content provided is similar to that found in saunders but it pays specific attention to possible items that are surely to be tested and like i said before...my friend used for two weeks and passed! she took a diagnostic test found in the cd and then focused on her weekness found under the client needs catagory; health promo, safe and effective care etc...kaplan's review is set up the same way as mr hogan's book but kaplan's book lacks alot of content unlike mrs hogan's. sanuders is not set up this way so there is no telling what client needs catagory we are weak on. what do you think...the only reason i went out to buy the saunder's book was because of the responses i found on this website.
