Im wondering after you take your nclex pn instead of doing the pvt cant you just look yourself up on the BON web site ??? that just came to mind or do they wait until you pay to put your name up there does any one know ? this is in Californian

You can look yourself up on the BON as many times as you want. Some BONs post quickly, some are slow, so if you don't show up today, look tomorrow, etc.

Not for BVNPT. Licenses aren't posted until you receive the pass letter, pay the $150 licensing fee and then BVNPT issues the license and subsequently posts to the BoN website.

Until you have yet to receive a results letter, nothing will be posted online for lvn

Sure you can look it up on the BON website, however some states are very slow in posting license numbers while others have the numbers up before the Quick Results are available from Pearson Vue (quick results are very different from the PVT. Quick results are to people who applied to be licensed in States that participate with quick results. Available 48 hrs after testing and costs $7.95 or so. these are the results Peason Vue sends to the BON. The PVT can be done by anyone but its not 100% reliable)

That being said, my State is slow in posting license numbers. I paid the fee for the Quick Results and got my results. it took another week or so to see my name with a license number on my BON.

As far as I've seen over the years on AN, California is VERY VERY slow in both posting numbers as well as sending notification of the test results.

Wow, I didn't know that. In my state, you have to pay the $150 before you test...what state is this?

California

in California you only have to pay the 150$ when you send them all your paper work right ? And then 200$ to the tale test, I took my test may 18th and stil have not received my results however I did the person vue trick and it took my money so I probably did not pass do I only have to pay 200$ to test again?

I'm from cali also, and still no results. i took mine may 19th

G/l i just don't understand why California does not do the quick results why !??

No. You pay $150 (application fee) each time you apply. Then $200 to Pearson Vue each time you test. Once you pass you pay an additional $150 licensing fee. If you pass first attempt it costs $150 application + $200 testing + $150 licensing = $500

Each attempt $350 ($150 application $200 test) once pass an additional $150 initial licensing fee.

20. FEES- I ALREADY PAID $150.00 TO THE BOARD. DO I HAVE TO PAY THE NCSBN $200.00 TO TAKE THE NCLEX-PN ALSO?

Yes, there are two fees involved each time you take the exam.

The $150 fee is for the application review and processing.

The $200 fee which goes directly to the NCSBN is for the examination.

An initial licensing fee will be charged to obtain the license after successful completion of the licensing examination.

Wow Cali is expensive. I paid the $200 for the test and the $150 to the BON which was both the application and license fee. I don't know if you have to pay all of it again for a retest because I didn't have to retest. Renewals are $120 every two years.

So I have to fill out all the paper work again ? Even tho they already have it for the 150$
