The teach for Kaplan informed my class that she heard that nclex has a tab with normal lab values when there is a question about lab values. Has anyone else ever heard of this??? i just wanna make sure i study those values if I do need to know them.

I dont recall having any lab values on my nclex. However---as soon as I sat down to take my test I wrote out the normal lab values on my wipe board. PH, Ca, K, Na, WBC etc etc etc as I did not want my mind to panic and go blank if I had a lab value question. But as far as I remember I did not have any...

I also drew a quick picture of the babies head coming out, and wrote RO/LOA etc etc as I kept forgetting that too in school---didnt need it though, didnt have any childbirth questions!!

Before the nclex, I knew every lab values by heart. I waited for any lab questions but not one.

I had three questions with lab values and NO there was no tab letting me know the normals. I just hurried and jotted down on the dry erase board at the beginning of the test to help me in a brain fart situation.

Hi Dear,
Lab values are things you need to know, NCLEX or no NCLEX, in the hospital or clinic where you will be working, you really need to know them,

Yes I understand that, but there are many variations as to what is considered normal from hospital to hospital. I was wondering what nclex considered their norm. Thank you for your reply though.
