Hello :) I have a question. I am taking my boards next Wednesday(the 23rd). I purchased kaplan's qbank and I'm doing 200 questions per day ( I'll be done with them by this Saturday). Anyways, these questions are very... Read More

Oh good to know about these, haven't even noticed them yet! I'm almost done reviewing all 265 QT 7 questions, just about 60 more to go... Jen let me know what you hear! And noyesno, good luck on QT 7 today... let us know how you do! I'm gonna try and finish the rest of my q-bank questions today and maybe even do those sample tests as well... what's the difference between those and the q-bank or QT's?
Hi! Don't you take your test on Thursday? GOOD LUCK! Take the day off tomorrow. What state are you from? I live in Maryland. Anyway, so Kaplan finally e-mailed me back. They didn't come right out and give me and percentages of passing etc. but did say to get far above 50% as possible. People that pass NCLEX get 50% of the questions correct, but they have to be application questions and that is what Kaplan's questions are. So a 50% would pass if this was NCLEX. I think we are on the right track. My qbank was 58% so I feel okay with that. Keep us posted.
FYI here is my e-mail address, I have trouble seeing updated posts jenfoster2@gmail.com

Have you guys tried any of the NCLEX-RN SAMPLE TESTS? These test are located in the question bank. You go to CREATE A TEST and then you'll see the NCLEX-RN SAMPLE TESTS on the left hand side right above EXIT. There are three 50 question tests available.

I haven't heard anything about these tests. I just discovered them now. What do you guys think?
Hi I just posted in reply to Prettyinpink. Check it out..you can use my e-mail if you want. I have trouble seeing when you guys posts. Great chatting!

I tried sample test one: 64%, I guess that is okay? It is within the 60-64% range. I e-mailed the NCLEX-Expert at Kaplan about my grades. Haven't heard back yet!
    64% is great! Awesome job.

I'm going to give those tests a stab tomorrow.

I just finished the 265 questions. I got a 63%. I'm okay with the score.

I ended up finishing the question bank earlier than planned. There are only 1175 questions in the question bank. I was led to believe there were 1300 because on pages 29 and 30 of the course book there are 26 spots to put in 50 question bank test scores. I finished the question bank with a 66%.

I'll do those NCLEX-RN sample tests tomorrow in lieu of the question bank. I'm not really sure what differentiates these sample tests from the question bank. Hmmmm....

Those sample tests really aren't different from the Qbank. They take alittle from each section. You will do great!! I just know it. Your scores are where they are supposed to be and and beyond. Good luck noyesno!

    Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone can give any further insight as to my Kaplan scores. I'm taking the NCLEX in 10 days and don't feel confident at ALL I also have tremendous pressure to pass the first time, due to a recent job offer, as well as subsequent submission to CGFNS for my visa screen if i do pass the first time around.

    My scores are as follows:
    Diagnostic - 59%
    QT1 - 59%
    QT2 - 53%
    QT3 - 56%
    QT4 - 55%
    QT5 - 60%
    QT6 - 63%
    QT7 - 65%
    Readiness test - 69%
    Qbank - 61% (all Q's completed)

I also did LaCharity's prioritization, delegation, and assignment book and my scores have ranged from 57% to 90%

At this point, I just feel burned out from doing so many questions-- but I do review and read the rationale behind all the questions. My concern is that I don't consistently do "bad" in one single area ... e.g. for QT 6, my worst percentage was HP & Maintenance (52%) but for QT7, it was my highest at 74%! So I don't really know where to focus my studying. It fluctuates like this within all areas. I feel like this almost shows that my knowledge base is spotty!
Anyone have any suggestions/tips on how to study for these next 10 days??
Thanks... and good luck to everyone!!!!

    Thanks Twinessa1, RN!

Your confidence in me means a lot!

    CONGRATS AGAIN ON PASSING!

p.s. thanks for the info on the sample tests, helpful to know they are similar to the question bank

Your scores look good. You've steadily gotten better as time has gone on which is really impressive considering the tests get harder as you move forward. According to my Kaplan instructor, with a Readiness Test score of 69% you have a 98.30% chance of passing the NCLEX.

Try watching the lectures on demand these next few days. They are really helpful.
