I am taking NCLEX - RN for the 3rd time next week. After I failed the second time I enrolled in the Kaplan program that had the content review and the questiont trainers/question bank.

These are my scores let me know what you think. I'm freaking out.
Diagnostic - 58%
Question Trainer 1 - 62 %
Question Trainer 2 - 56%
Question Trainer 3 - 62%
Question Trainer 4 - 55%
Question Trainer 5 - 69%
Question Trainer 6 - 67%

Question Bank - 56% with 79% completed.

I am taking question trainer 7 today and then the readiness test either tomorrow or monday.
please let me know what you think, those who have taken Kaplan before. PLEASE!

I took Kaplan online course too, and your scores are higher than mine. I passed nclex-rn for the 3rd time also. My computer shuts of at 75 questions. Just make sure you memorized your infection control, medications side effects, Oh, also make sure you watch the content and questions review videos because there are lots of information there that it helps me passed the nclex. take it when you feel you are confident. if you have 60% on QT 6 and 7, according to kaplan you have a 95% chance of passing

My instructor from Kaplan told us to at least score 65% on all the trainers. I disagree. I have scores from 62- 83% ON qt 1-4. I am taking QT 5 next week, so hopefully I get a score of at least 65%. QT 4 was my lowest with a 62%. She also stated that we need to know content in order to answer the question. She told us to study content when we are not reviewing questions. I have taken Kaplan before I was not happy with the instructor, my current instructor was much better this time talking about how we need to know the CONTENT. You are doing great on your trainers. If you score at least 65% on your readiness test, you are read for the exam. If the score is below 60% our instructor stated that we should postpone for one week and study content.

I think you will do just fine if you take it now. I was freaked out to take NCLEX because I didn't think my scores were high enough. Kaplan questions are way harder than NCLEX questions in my opinion. I passed at 75 ?'s on NCLEX.

Thank you for all the useful information.

I made a 61% on question trainer 7. and a 65% on my readiness test. I am going to spend today and the next day reviewing the video content reviewing the questions.

Have you reviewed your weak areas after each QT??? However, I am confident you will totally pass the NCLEX. Trust me! My test looked like QT 6

First off, keep up the hard work! You'll pass for sure!

Second, I used Kaplan and Learning Extension (NCSBN) but I preferred learning ext when I was taking the quizzes. It gives you the rationale right after you click an answer then since you remember your train of thought you can review why you got the question right/wrong. For both, I used them for their questions not their review. I had two review books Saunders and Prentice Hall (Hogan's) but I primarily used Hogan's. It helped me refresh a lot of the nursing content I thought I knew.
