Hey, I took the live classroom Kaplan course about a month ago and I passed with 75 questions. I did all the q-bank questions averaging 69%. I completed all my q-trainers ranging from 58-70. Kaplan wants you to get ~60-65 on the tests and at least a 50 in each client's need category. I found it really helpful and I would recommend it to anyone who needs an extra resource.

What I recommend is, if possible without entirely overwhelming yourself, go over the content videos prior to class. And do the reading as well so you are prepared content wise. The content videos correlate to the book and they tell you the basic need-to-know for each area. Try to go along with the book if you have the physical copy, but if not - that is okay too. Because you have the basic content knowledge, you won't have to be confused with material during class because you will be going through critical thinking questions (majority of NCLEX questions) while in class.

Definitely take advantage of the "rekaps" you get during class because they're nice to know tips. And basically, just pay attention to the strategies that they give you during class because they helped me a lot on the test.

    Stay positive and good luck!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is somewhat a relief to me. Noted and I plan to start watching the lesson videos this monday till I finish all of them before I will start my live online classes. More blessings to you!

thanks! I'm planning to enroll here in the Philippines. Oh btw, when do you think is the right time to review for Kaplan? I mean, how many days were left before the test when you started your review? I really need some tips. None of my friends has ever taken the NCLEX.
Well in my case, I started my application last May. So while I was waiting for my requirements to be completed, I was basically researching about NCLEX and reading some helpful threads here and of course, back to basics self review. Then, last August, I just completed all my requirements except for the pearson vue registration. So I decided to study Kaplan after the completion of my requirements then I plan to schedule my exam after my Kaplan review and when I really feel that I am ready. It depends on what works for you. But I recommend to start with your application first and make/organize a plan using a calendar. It helps a lot. Research, Organize, Balance, Focus, and Prayers.

I took Kaplan review when I was in school and my scores where always in 50's 60's range. The videos are very helpful and I would suggest doing as many questions as possible. I don't know why it does not let you see the rationales but it should. I passed NCLEX with 75 questions and got around 50 multiple choice (select all that apply) questions which meant I was in the hard questions most of the test. I actually found Kaplan to be harder in a way than the actual NCLEX. I also did the HURST review.
hi~ Congrats to you! if you dont mind pls. e-mail me @ m7rodrig@aol.com- I have a questions for you! Thanks a lot!

I passed Nclex on my first try with 80 questions. My diagnostic test score was 40 and my qtrainers were ranging from 50s to 60s. It doesn't really matter what score you get as long as you understand how to answer the questions and the rationale of all your answers may it be right or wrong I could say Kaplan really prepared me. I found the Kaplan practice questions to be harder than the actual one. Review a lot of SATA questions. Kaplan has a whole test with all those alternative types of questions. That helped me master SATA questions and also the PDA La Charity book

Thanks. What a relief again. But I still have a lot to go. Your comment makes me more determined though. When did you take the Kaplan alternative types of questions? I'm still on phase 1 and I am about to start watching their Lesson On Demand questions. Btw, Congrats!
