I started using the kaplan qbank about 3 weeks ago. I started with getting in the 50s and now I've been pretty much consistently getting in the 60s. (except today, when i took one and got a 30, but I think I was just having a bad morning). So i've been seeing a slight increase. What have you been getting?

QT-1: 56%
QT-2: 52%
QT-3: 54%
QT-4: 53%

I haven't taken the rest of the question trainers. Those are horrible numbers, though.

Not to frighten anyone but having taken NCLEX(failed), Kaplan is the closest thing I've seen that captures the feel of NCLEX. Just keep in mind that you won't get the same questions, but that's about what it will feel like.

Don't focus too much on the scores. What's important is getting in the routine of looking at a question and thinking. Not only about which answer is right but why the others are incorrect. Read the rationals.

I only have the Kaplan book but my scores are in the 50% to 60% range.

Hi

In the very beginning, like the first six times I did the Qbank I was getting around 48% - 62%. Then I got bummed out because they recommend above 65%. Then I went through the problems more slowly and figuring out what the questions are actually asking helped improved my percentage by around 5% - 10% right away. What I mean by that is you gotta watch for the key words. For example, when a question asks, "The nurse suspects a broken leg..." That most likely means the nurse did an assessment already, so the next action would be implementation. So it was just recognizing little things like that could improve your percentage. Also my other friends were getting around 48% - 58% and they got 75 questions on the Nclex and passed. One more thing, I would do 100 questions from the Qbank a day and go back and read the rationale and make sure you understand them, go back and read the contents from any book like HESI or Kaplan book on the one you don't understand. Towards the end, I was getting around 65% to 83% on the Qbank questions.
