Kaplan QBank and QTrainers

  1. 0 Are the questions that Kaplan provides similar to the actual NCLEX questions? They seem pretty difficult.

I took Kaplan and took the NCLEX today. I thought the NCLEX was hard. Remember it adapts to you, so in theory, at some point it should be hard for everyone.

I felt like I got a million "select all that apply"'s.

I did well in Kaplan and got the "good pop up" when I did the PVT so I'm hoping it's accurate and that I passed. But I would not say that the NCLEX was easy compared to Kaplan. I had to stop and really think about almost every question.

It depends on what level questions you get. Some of my friends said their NCLEX was Saunders level, some got a lot of priority and it was similar to Kaplan. You need to know a lot of info to answer Kaplan's questions. I found it to be too hard for me so I ended up doing Lippincott Q@A and Saunders to review.

NCLEX is way more straightforward than kaplan, but kaplan is good preparation. If you can do those questions the NCLEX will seem like a breeze.

Only Kaplan is sufficient for nclex or need anything else to practice?

I found the NCLEX to be harder than kaplan, however over half (it seemed) of my NCLEX was SATA and Kaplan doesn't have much good prep in that regard. However, doing Kaplan helped me understand HOW to answer the questions which is half the battle really. learning how to read through the questions and understand what they're actually asking.

Nikku, I used Kaplan and NCLEX 3500 (for SATA, alternative choice answers) and I passed in 75Q

I am so glad to hear you say this! I found the NCLEX to be harder than Kaplan. I am getting the good pop up so hopefully it just means that I was above passing level early so I just kept getting more and more challenging questions.

Also, I was done in 75q too. Cannot wait till I get my results tomorrow!

So, I take my NCLEX in eleven days (EEEKKK!) And my Kaplan Readiness Score was a 71.67%. The QBank I'm averaging in the 60s-70s, and on the question trainers I've scored in the 60s. I still have about 40% of the QBank available to me, and Question Trainer 7. Any advice?
