Ok, so I read kaplan 2009 edition like almost 2 years ago during nursing school and i wanted to refreshen up my memory again & try the updated version of 2010. Before I start on this book again & waste any of my valuable time as I have a lot to study still =( anyway, my question is for those that actually read the 13 chapters of included strategies, did you actually have the time to apply the strategies during nclex time? I'm a bit confused about the strategies as well but that's a different story and I'll discuss about my confusion some other day & time hehehe. But if you don't mind, pls post some useful tips on how to use this book properly?

I practice all the question and later retake it after 2 days so see how much i retain. I miss 2 out of all the question after retaking it.

Ur talking about the questions in the back of kaplan 2010 book right? did u apply the strategies when u did these questions?

I was trying to apply the strategies to the questions on back of this kaplan book but I noticed the strategies don't work on all of the questions? Is it just me or that's actually true? And which nclex did u sit for? What was ur study method to beating the nclex? And when u took ur nclex, did u have time to use these strategies?

Yes. I was opportune to pass my NCLEX first time i took both the RN and PN with kaplan strategy. I guess if you can read thoroughly, you will be able to combat the NCLEX which i did when i adopt the kaplan strategy. I took both NCLEX in 09. The kaplan work on all question. But the most important secret to that is to understand your content first because w/o that the strategy will never work. Hope that answer your question.
