Sorry to hear the news, but you did your best your results show that. Stay positive, remain focused, and keep going forward. You will soon master this ! !:up:

Thanks Passion! I have taken more than a week off to clear my mind. Have mapped out a study plan for the next eight weeks or so.

hi,

brush it off and think postive! just study harder and you will do fine. but you might want to ask yourself: during my study periods did i had alot on my mind? the environment i was in...was it too noisy? did i apply to a review course? or was the review course good enough for my interests? am i a good critical thinker or is that something i need to work on?(use kaplan strategies book :)). am i lacking in content?( saunders :)). when starting over, its good to reflect briefly on what worked and what didn't, so to improve your study plan and your success. good luck!

Honestly, that notice really doesn't mean much, in my opinion. Definite study the ones that you were "near passing" and "below passing". However, I didn't get one "above average" i got all "near passing" and "below" on one of the criteria, and then I passed the test the next time with minimum questions. Have faith, study, study, do questions questions... I got a LOT of diabetes and maternity the second time around, and a LOT of thyroid, parathyroid the first time around. I also got a lot of select all that apply, so if you have trouble with that I would suggest going to a book store and purchasing a book just with those questions. I have one of Lippincott's Alternate-Format Questions... that worked and REALLY helped the second time around for me. Awhile ago, someone posted a bunch of just random notes, I thought that helped too... let me know if you want me to send it to ya! Its about like 13 pages of stuff.

Don't give up, really, it doesn't make you any less of a nurse just by how many times you have to take the test!!! Goodluck!:redpinkhe

wish you success on your second try. Don't give up keep the torch glowing.

God is on our side.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Thanks everyone, I am taking some time off before hitting the books really hard.

Best of luck :)

Good luck!

I failed my first attempt June 25th and I am retesting August 31st, so I am taking about 8 weeks to study for my 2nd attempt, as well. Many people say that it is best to test soon after graduation, but I think it depends on the individual. I graduated May 15th, did the Hurst review May 17th-21st, and took my test on June 25th. I don't think I managed my time really well during those 4-5 weeks. I was also working as a student nurse until June 19th. I haven't been working at all during my 2nd attempt, so I think that has been helpful.

I think some people may need more time than others... I am feeling more prepared now than I did the first time. Good luck to you... keep studying and don't let it get you down.

Try to stay focused and keep an optimistic attitude. Do NOT give up. You came thus far and God has an ultimate plan for you. Put your trust in Him and He will guide you in the appropriate direction. Best of luck to you and I'm sure you will master the exam the second time around. I didn't pass my first time around and it took me a month to get over it and decide that I had to move on and not give up. I will be sitting for it again in about two weeks. Pray for me. God Bless you. :)
