Just finished nclex-RN

Just got done with nclex-RN. Got 75 questions. 3 SATA, 5-6 meds plus a few med rxns, lots of priority, no delegation, many infection control and 2 math probs. Lots of med-surg. I am scared because I did feel it was hard to narrow down to 2 answers, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was actually like 2 exact questions I did in ncsbn review! And whenever I felt good about a test in school, I didn't do that great. I am too scared to try the trick. I am going to try to stop shaking and keep my mind busy!

The only thing keeping me sane is that I got only 75, and I think I only got the same type of question twice. I only had a few easy basic nursing. I can only hope I passed!

I know exactly how you feel. I took my RN exam on July 14th and almost had a nervous breakdown after I took it. My test was very similar to yours, and I was cut off at 75q's. I did the pearson vue trick to get the pop up. Today I found out that I passed!!! So I believe in the exam 100%.

Waiting for results can be agonizing, but just think positive and believe your hard work has paid off! I took my exam two days ago and am waiting for my quick results. Go out and do something fun and relaxing. Best of luck!

I just finished taking it as well. My heart was pounding when I hit the button after the 75'th question hoping it would end there - it did The test was brutal. With the exception of 1-2 questions most were educated guesses. No math, 1-2 psych, several OB, and a boatload of med questions Most I had no idea of what they were.

When I got home I was dying to try the pearson cheat, but it took a couple of hours to work up the courage. I got the pop-up

I know everyone has a different test so after taking it myself, I can just emphasize that if u know ur material, u will be fine!!!! All the things u think will be on there, the stuff u know in ur sleep, just isn't there. There was not one question that I had never heard of (some I had heard of but didn't know jack**** about it), it was just hard to prioritize between 2 answers. That's where ur knowledge base comes in handy. Also, if u have never heard of it, make ur best educated guess. Think ABC's, MAslow's, etc. What will harm the pt the most. Know the drug classifications - the stem might not tell u the disease so u have to know the class.

Just breathe and dont take too long on one question. Don't look at it as the NCLEX, convince urself this is just another nsg test. If u need a break take one. And the amt of questions u get DOES NOT mean a thing. Just give it ur best shot. Good luck to all awaiting!
