January NCLEX Study Group!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi Friends!

I am taking the NCLEX in January. I will graduate from my accelerated BSN program in mid-December, just before Christmas. This is an 11.5 month ABSN program and is make-your-head-spin-fast!

I am still deciding whether I will take the Hurst Review or the Kaplan Review, but I do have the Saunders 4th Edition NCLEX-RN Comprehensive Review book. It is huge! Honestly, I feel overwhelmed and feel like I do not know where to begin. I will just begin at the beginning! Care to join me on this wild ride?!?! We can encourage one another along the way!:typing

As part of my study program, I want to incorporate exercising at least 20 minutes a day and eating healthier snacks. Grabbing an apple and cheese instead of pepsi and cheetos!:pumpiron:

Let's do this thing!!!!

:yelclap:

I do not know how to do PMs, do you?

Look under the members name and you should see a icon that looks like a paper and pencil. Click on that and you can send a pm.

For others remember that to access and send pms you need 15 or more posts

Thank you SilverDragon!

Sorry for being mia. I did the pretest and omg; I need so much help

I'M suppose to do Pediatrics followed by Maternity and Pharmacology

I think I missed Kay today also for study since its now 6:45p my time

Well lets just keep rocking and rolling with the books and this site we'll reach our goal.

Hi PedzNurse!

My turn to apologize for being MIA. I started studying the pediatric portion and I think I have done 3-4 chapters, plus a bet of mental health and a bit of pharmacology. How are you doing? Do you have a test date? I assume you are wanting to be a pediatrics nurse. Right?

Hi there! Glad you are forging right ahead. Well I took Saunders test again this Tuesday to see if any of this was sticking with me according to the plan it outlined and my score overall was 76% up from 56%. YEAH! My application on 1st attempt was @45% and now @78% but my Analysis stayed@72%. Pharm was 61% now 92%. The Nursing Process portion is really got me stuck with Assessment 1st attempt 71% &Implentation @36% now its only 85%Assessment & 63% Implentation.

No, I have not set a date and yes I love the babes. Would like to do ER, Trauma, and then move to PICU or NICU.

Have you been studying with Kay? I lost my notation of which thread to reach Kay for study online.

What do you make of those scores? How are yours thus far? You can PM anytime.

Hears to successful study sessions and rocking the NCLEX-RN. By the way anyone can comment on the scores esp. you NCLEX success stories. I heed all suggestions.:thnkg::thankya:

Just to add my LaCharity scores are horrible. Doing second part scores from 63% -68% except resp. I scored a 86%. Not sure if I should move on to last section of book or redo the 2nd half. HELP

So who is Kay? I do not know her! Did she reply that she wants to study together?

I must say, all of the NCLEX failing stories are starting to freak me out. I can feel my heart rate rising when I read those threads. Perhaps I should stay away from them!!!! DUH!

Are there any other people wanting to take the NCLEX-RN in January? Please jump in and join us!!!

Kay post a lot of useful info on the threads and very supportive. It's been a minute since I wrote was not feeling well. I got bored reading Saunders so I decided to vary my approach. I did NCLEX 3500 pre-test online 61%(help)

Kaplan 1 Trainer and 2 @74% have no idea if these scores are anywhere close to where they should be .I'd feel better if they were 80 0r above cause that was solid while in school if you maintained 80%. Every med that I either got wrong or guessed at and got right I'm writing down and studying. Next week I'll go back to Saunders chapters or not.

What do you think?

Anyone else out there besides the two of us testing this month?

Okay, so I have studied about 1/2 of the pediatrics chapters in Saunders...that was one of my very lowest scores. I went from a 41% to a 67%. Oh well, it is a start. I am nervous because I have ATI in less than 3 weeks. That is my school's exit exam/indicator on how you will do on NCLEX. I have A LOT to do in the next three weeks!!!! If I can get through Pediatrics and Adult Health, I will be okay.

Yes, if there are more people planning on taking NCLEX in January, please join us!!!!

PS: How do we find Kay????
