    Hi all,
I've been a lurker on this board since December, not much of a poster, just like to read others. I really enjoy reading the number of questions asked on individual's tests and hearing their results. Figured I'd throw mine in for everybody else. I took the test on Wednesday, January 16th. I got my quick results 48hrs later on the testing website, results not posted on BON yet in Washington. My test shut of at 75, lots of calculations and SATA. I've been just sick the last few days waiting for the results, and i PASSED!!!! What an amazing feeling of relief. Congratulations to all that have passed, and all that have attempted and fallen a bit short. Good luck to those who have yet to go!

:innerconfhey everyone ,i am scheduled to take the mighty nclex rn on 25th january i.e. exactly a week from now.i have been working hard for the past 1 month but no matter how much i prepare or study i just dont feel its enough.its like an ocean of information and facts out there.i finished with saunders and am doing the kaplan question trainers now .done 4 q trainers till now and my scores are
    trainer1-61%
    trainer2-63%
    trainer3-65%
    trainer4-63%
i am not able to get consistent score above 65%.and my most difficult area is meds.no matter how much i study these meds there are still hundreds of meds which i havent even heared of.i am even toying with the idea of rescheduling the test, but then i also think that its better to finish up with the test coz even if i study for another one month i would be still in the same situation.would like to get some opinion from u guys.

    Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that I took the NCLEX yesterday 1/17, and found out this morning that I PASSED!!!

I had 75 questions, mostly priority, 7-8 SATA, 2 math, several teaching, and lots of meds!! I hate meds!! I guess you can miss every med and still pass the NCLEX, lolol. I found what probably helped me the most was not being nervous about it. For some reason I never got nervous. I felt that I'd done what I could do to prepare, I went in there as if I owned the test. I took my time on the questions, usually narrowing it down to 2 choices and then used what I knew from Kaplan to figure out which one was the right answer. I was given a white board when I went in and I used it to write down my lab values that I knew, because I have a tendency to start mixing numbers up when I see a question, I forget the values. I never panicked during the test, just systematically answered questions. I think doing all the practice questions helped a lot for me, it got me into the testing mode.

Thanks for your support here, and good luck to everyone waiting to take it.

what source-books/reviews did you use to do questions??

I used the Kaplan book for ideas on how to test, the Saunders book for general info etc. and the Lippincott CD (that's in the book) for practice testing. I liked Lippincott because I could pick what areas I wanted to study (from one to all of them), and also pick the number of questions I wanted. It was a little more user friendly than Saunders CD. I liked the breakdown of the lab values in Saunders, it was a lot easier than looking them all up in my Mosby's manual.

There's really no way to know all the info that you'll be tested on. If you've got a good understanding of the nursing practices and how the body works etc, you can figure out the answers. It really wasn't as bad as a lot of the books make it out to be. I practiced with the Kaplan tester, and was getting in the mid 60's with each test, and then reviewed all the tests as well.

Good luck to you all taking the the NCLEX this month. I go sit on Jan 26. I am so nervous. I've been doing questions on the NCLEX3500 CD and I'm averaging around 78% in each section. I don't know what else to do. For the past 2 weeks I've just been studying Any advice?

I took the NCLEX on January 12th...I'm in CA and I've been checking the BRN website every day and as of this morning I'm not on there!! It stopped at 75, I got a lot of priority questions and at least 6 Select all that apply...I felt like I did horribly when I finished, but I was a straight A student in nursing school so everyone else is convinced that I passed...
Is it a horrible sign that I haven't heard anything yet??? I just started my new job and I'm scared to death that I didn't pass...

Ca can take a while and just because you can not see your name doesn't mean you failed. Many have posted on here that they received letter from Ca before they saw their name on the website. Many even said it took several days/weeks waiting

    Hey guys,
I just took the nclex-rn today and boy am I discouraged. I answered 265 questions and am almost certain I failed. I am so down. Especially since many of my friends passed with 75 questions. I don't know what to do. I don't think I could take that test again. I don't have the money first and foremost, secondly...I am a mom that needs have some decent income. I don't know what to do. Four years of nursing school and I can even prove my competency level. Did any of you pass with 265 questions??

There are a few posts with passes on 265 and I know I was either 265 or very close when I passed. Good luck
