I am in the same process of choosing an online LPN to RN program. I have a meeting with an advisor next Tuesday from Indiana State University affiliated with the College Network. Anyone know anything about that. And additionally what did Kaplan charge? Thanks for any input.
AVOID THE COLLEGE NETWORK LIKE THE PLAGUE!
They will suggest to you that you need them in order to complete your nursing program. You do not.
Go directly to the school advisors, deal directly with the school advisors. If you cannot get someone to allow you to do their distance program without TCN, then find a school that does.
You do not need them. Many before you have succeeded in learning all they needed to know, without the "aid" of the TCN.
They are expensive and they will not provide you with anything more than the school will give you, and you can find for free on the web.
I cannot tell you how many sad stories I have heard about people who have spent thousands on TCN believing that they had to do that in order to get their degrees.
As you consider each school, ask their advisors about TCN. I'll bet you the good schools will tell you "we don't have any relationship with them" or words to that effect. Maybe the so-so schools too.
