Illinois NCLEX exam

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi! I'm planning to take the NCLEX exam here in Illinois. I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines. I'm having a hard time deciding whether I need to take the TOEFEL/IELTS first or apply for the Credential Services (ERES) and wait for the result. Cause I read somewhere that the department can waive TOEFEL/IELTS if the credential services result is fine. I really need someone to help me, because I don't know someone here in Illinois that can help me with my application. Thank you in advance :D

For licensing, you'll need to take the national NCLEX exam (not State boards). But as for the rest, you really should contact the State BON for Illinois directly, or at least post this question in the International Nursing forum....more likely to have people there who know what might help you.

good luck!

I'm from Illinois too. And licensed in Philippines also. You don't need the Toefl, but I use Cgfns to evaluate my credentials. After cgfns evaluate my credentials, I applied and pay fees at continental testing(search it on google continental testing IL) and then they will email you for requirements you need to apply for the exam then when they all have the requirements they're asking from you, Then you can receive your ATT within a week. and then you can apply now at the pearson vue.

So, i can use CGFNS Credentials Evaluation Service Academic Report Application? How long did you wait for the result of your credentials? Thank you so much for your help, I now have a clear view on how to start.

Yes! And I think it took me 8weeks to have it. Make sure you have all the papers you need for evaluation. You're welcome and goodluck! Are you in IL right now? Or still in PI?

Yes, I'm already here in IL. Came here almost 3 months ago :) Thank you again. :)

Hi. I'm in the middle of CGFNS CES right now and I'm wondering if they will be requiring me with toefel or ielts? I was reading some old posts, it's says illinois requires it. I'm also a philippine graduate and licensed.
