I say get your money back from Kaplan since you will be paying again to retake it and try Suzannes plan. I failed for the 1st time and I did Kaplan and I refuse to go thru that again. I am following Suzannes plan strictly and praying for a good outcome. And besides, she doesnt charge a single penny. God could not have sent us a better angel. You also have a good support system here on this site. You cant forget that. We have to see each other thru this and we will. Dont be discouraged.

well i am still waiting on fla bon to send me my eligibility. my 45 days was up a couple days ago, and to be honest, i am taking my time studying. i try to do at 100 per day but sometimes i am too tired from all the studyin and just do 30-40. either way it goes, i am taking this plan seriously. matilda50, i am not taking this exam for a 3rd time. i am putting all my energy into it. i have found the rationales critical to my learning. comparing my 1st nclex to this plan, i know i could have passed if i had did it before. its frustrating lord knows but i manage to stick with it. right now, i am doing content areas on the cd only. i am finishing up musculoskeletal now. tomorrow ill prob do child health (bookmarked ones) again cause its more questions. i am doing also doing pharmacolgy, about 10 questions a day only added to my 100 cause a lot of the questions in content areas are repeats and a lot of them i already know.the only part i have not done on the cd is pharm and cardio, while im waiting on my info from bon i go over a lot of the bookmarked ones that i dont quite understand. i plan on re-testing before nov. the info suzanne sent me is also helpful cause i saw stuff from my nclex on what she sent me too so you can see why i am using it exclusively. we will pass this time around. and besides, i am not paying for anyones review. saunders is asking for the same info as nclex questions they are just longer. what about u??

sorry you failed, it is a hard exam to do but hang in there, take a short break, deep breath and get back into studying. Plenty of support on here from both pre and post takers and plenty of good advice already on study

i plan on testing oct 19 and im doing content ques 100 a day in study mode. from what it looks like there is 4039 in each section on the cd. i wonder if they have the same questions in each section probably so. i

know when reading the saunders they say alot of questions on nclex are application questions and higher. i am focus on the rationale and to make sure i understand what they are looking for in the question. i notice there were alot of ques in child health, fundamanetals, and pharm. that is a good idea to pick up 10 from pharm. i know this will be the last time were testing good luck studying keep in touch.

A lot of ques in Saunders are in fact analysis/application-type ques. My NCLEX also contained a child health, pre-proc instructions, herbs, radium implants, couple cardio-meds, etc. Good luck to you on your studyin, its hard but I know we can do it. Hopefully, I will be able to schedule around that time but I cant resched til BON sends info to Pearson. Either way it goes, I am praying and I will not be moved or intimidated by this test again. I know plenty of folks personally that have failed 1-5 times and failure was not an option for them and it will definitely not be one for me. We can do this. I know we can.

Hello all,

I just saw my NCLEX result and I failed.... :o

I took the Kaplan course (classroom w/ online questions).

So, my BIGGEST concern is now what? How do I study for the next time I take the test?

I've asked around and most of the nurses in my hospital gives the Kapan a big thumbs up.

Do I retake the Kaplan course and go through all of their instructions again?

HELP ME please...

I'm really heartbroken about this and I don't know what happened...

I'm depressed too... I know everyone says that this happens to a lot of nurses. But, it's hard not to.

Thanks a lot to all...

NURSELUMPIA,

I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL BECAUSE I AM EXACTLY ON THE SAME BOAT AS YOU ARE. I TOOK KAPLAN. I DID ALL OF THE QBANK AND QUESTION TRAINER. ATTENDED ALL OF THE CLASSES. I SCORED AN AVERAGE OF 62-68% ON ALL OF THE QUESTION TRAINER. I GOT MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE I FEEL THERE WAS NO POINT OF ME CONTINUING WITH KAPLAN AND USING THE SAME QUESTIONS WHEN I ALREADY KNOW THEM. I GAVE THEM A COPY OF MY REPORT AND GOT MY MONEY BACK. I STILL USE WHAT I LEARNED FROM THEM..STRATEGIES, ETC. THAT'S WHAT I NEED. I AM USING SAUNDERS TO BRUSH UP ON CONTENTS AND USING THE CD. A LOT OF MY CLASSMATES ARE DOING SAUNDERS. GOOD LUCK AND DON'T GIVE UP!
