Register Today!- Aug 3, '12 by zia_redQuote from oztizz184Thank you! I've been reading some of the posts here in allnurses about taking off on the day before the test and not study anymore... I say, know yourself and your strengths and weaknesses. I knew that my weakness was I have very bad short term memory, so even up to the last day and before I slept, I still studied and took tests. lol If you're on the NCSBN learning extension, go through all the tests on the last part. It truly helped me with my critical thinking skills.I test in a few days, ahh! -deep breath-
ive been reading the study guide not by allnurses and answering questions
any recommendations for the last few days of studying? - Aug 3, '12 by zia_redQuote from blynn9173Congratulations to you too blynn9173! I am so happy for you! Rejoicing with you!Congratulations! I just recently passed mine the other day. It is such a great feeling. We both are so blessed!
- Aug 3, '12 by zia_redQuote from Kls1979Thank you! I prepared for the boards for 2 months and a half. You must be exhausted from schooling... Rest and enough sleep is as important as quality studying. I say know your weak areas and focus on mastering them first and I highly recommend NCSBN learning extension practice tests. The last 3 days before the test, I did a lot of the NCSBN practice tests. They really helped me a lot. If you feel you are not ready yet, you may reschedule. Just allow yourself to get ready. Thanks for sharing your story. This question may have been ask already but how long should you give yourself to prepare for boards? I graduated in may, took a 3 month break because I was burnt out and now I'm kicking myself in the butt as I feel I've forgotten everything. I took the hurst review online, have listened to the lectures once, taken 3 of the Q reviews and have bombed them. I'm scheduled to take boards in 5 days. If I study most of those days do you feel that's enough time to prepare? Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!
The stress I went through in nursing school has once again started it

As I mentioned in my story, I was a panicky wreck days before the test but I just did it anyway. I didn't want to prolong my wait and torture myself from asking all the "what ifs" in the world! lol Pls let me know how it goes with you. Pray and believe!
