I really dont know what to do anymore.

I'm taking the NCLEX PN September 23rd and I feel so very far from ready.

I study here and there & I work part time as well and every minute that I'm not studying I feel guilty for so much so I can't even enjoy myself anymore.

I'm obsessed with trying to pass this test. Passing this test means getting my career on the road, leaving my mom's house, and becoming an actual adult.

But I can't focus on one thing. I can't completely finish a chapter and be able to remember things well.

I'm so frustrated.

I feel as though I'm never going to pass it.

Any one else feeling that way?

Study and take the exam,, I have taken my RN NCLEX now for the 3rd time and failed. I am currently an LPN and the exam is much simplier. So study, relax, eat a good breakfast and go PASS that exam!!

you have plenty of time so start motivating yourself now..you have to focus in trying to achieving your goals. takei t one day at a time..i only studied for about 1 1/2 months for my RN and was able to re-learn so much information in such a short time, its basically just a reinforcement of the stuff you learned from school. try to do atleast 100 questions per day and you'll be surprise how much you've done come your test date.

Aww liberation I Feel like you. I feel like I haven't truly became an adult yet and that the Nclex is holding me back, but you can do this and you must change yiour mind set that is what I am working on now. You have to think positve and trust in yourself. Right now it may not seem like anything is sticking but Im sure by your test date it will come around and make sense. I think the reason why feel this way when we do study is because we are anxious and depressed about the last test that we took. We have to look pass that and keep our heads up and make sure we retain this information. You will be okay and good luck and God bless you.

It might be because you have like 2 months until the test. So it doesn't even feel real yet. You study here and there thinking you have plenty of time anyway. It is not the best idea to put off this test that long. You might forget what you know now. To be able to focus better, I would re-schedule the test day to an earlier date and study tight for it.

Take two days off, completely relax, then come back and do a complete evaluation of your study methods, your study plan, and your motivation. Perhaps your motivation is getting in your way. Time spent worrying about how important the test is, is time spent away from productive study. Learn to recognize when your mind is wandering, say stop to yourself, get up, walk to the kitchen, get a drink of water, take ten deep breaths, then go back to your desk. Arrange set breaks from your study. Get a calendar, write goals on it and give yourself a reward for reaching your goal, maybe a dish of ice cream, or even a movie. Above all, have your appointment date, and meet it. If you aren't successful, you know you will be coming back to the task. Good luck.

That was absolutely one of the best and most clear pieces of advice I've heard in so long. Thank you so much, you really dont know what it did for me :)
