I feel like burning most the LVN review books I bought as they did me no good what-so-ever on the NCLEX. The questions I got came out of left field. Stuff that wasn't taught in school like post... Read More

I graduated in August. I took the NCLEX-PN exam December 22 and passed at 85 questions. By December 28th I had seen my license issued by the PA State Board of Nursing so I knew I had passed. It took me about an hour and twenty minutes to complete the exam.

While there were some questions that came out of left field, I tought overall the exam was not any more difficult than the exams I took in school. During school we were required to take a number of ATI tests in addition to the classroom exams. We had to pass those as well before moving on.

    In preparation I used NCLEX Made Easy, Saunder's NCLEX-PN, and Lippincott's NCLEX-PN.

I just graduated in Dec, 2005. I have the Sylvestri NCLEX review book. From what I've read here Saunders is not a good one, which I also have. I was just wondering if anyone took any online courses that they could recommend.
Kaplan and www.ncsbn.org are all you need to pass the nclex. I passed my exam with 85 questions and it took about an hour. Saunder's, mosby etc adress nursing content which you should have learned in nursing school. Kaplan and ncsbn adress the types of questuions you will see on the nclex, plus nursing content. There is a reason kaplan offers a money back guarantee if you don't pass....thier stuff works. ncsbn.org makes the nclex...so enuff said about them.

Are you sure Kaplan offers the money back guarantee for the NCLEX-PN preparation? I know they do for the NCLEX-RN.

Well, I purchased a Kaplan NCLEX-PN strategies book. The first page reads, "If after using this book, you do not pass the test, or if you are not satisfied with this book for any reason, you may return it and get your original purchase price back..."

It is not always easy to get your money refunded. There are quite a few here that have had problems trying to do that.

Thanks Communter. I asked because it does not give that guarantee on the web site like it does for the NCLEX-RN.

Just came back from Vegas with book in towe and will take it with me to hawaii next month. I just finished the Delmar book and was going to start my Mosby book. I do not have Kaplan.
